Our First Charity Service at Inspire Schools Sponsored By @Worldsmile in Collaboration with @Steemkidss Was a Success

While anticipating our first-ever World Smile Movement in collaboration with Steemkids, I had a brief chitchat with a friend concerning a proposed and initiated plan by the government thwarted by some irresponsible government officials, which has caused a deflection of the funds from its original path, which was to provide food for government primary school pupils. A free education made it possible for almost all of them to be pupils, and here they are not sure if the brain is in its proper functionality due to lack of food.

Reflection on the current situation and the people involved will not change anything but cause a transferred aggression because we are not in a position to make a change, but yes, we can, and that is doing the best we can for these children if we are given approval because certainly not all places will welcome us. I must commend @worldsmile and @steemkidss for this initiative, and it's my pleasure to announce that I am part of this team and many others.

This project is aimed at putting smiles on pupils faces; the latter was an intro, a reflection of what should or would have been done by people who seem to be in a better position. I see smiles on the faces of my siblings at that moment when Mum finishes cooking, and we would love this to be reiterated in the faces of kids all over the world.

So this day I woke as the thoughts of this movement resonated within me; I called @bossj23 asking him of the route, and as God had it, I paid my way down there and waited for him to arrive. When he arrived, we decided to take a shade at the bar opposite the school premises while others arrived; calls were made directing some persons to the venue. It was a pleasure to have our steem representative @goodybest with us.

We didn't waste time because we had other appointment to meet, so the distribution began, while taking some snapshots and making short clips, I was scared of whether the food will be enough for all the pupils in this school because the kids were numerous but to my greatest surprise we fed all the pupils, I must appreciate the chefs that made this possible which are mummy @ngoenyi and her team of steemians, Mr @benton3 drove us down there and took us back, he lend a helping hands also in the foods distribution which made this process swift, some helped organized the children making sure their package(a plate of rice, a boiled egg and a banana) was complete, these kids were so happy on seeing this(I can't remember how many time I said that).

I can't learn if my stomach soldiers are disturbing how much this very fragile young kid's brain cannot function effectively without a balanced diet, because as learning is in progress, the pupils have to think, respond/recite, and memorise, and this cannot be done without food; food is a major requirement in a child's learning.

It was a good start, and I believe the remaining days of this charitable act will be more exciting, and I pray we get more support for the provision of the basic needs for more kids in Nigeria.
