Learn while exploring nature, let's go on an adventure
Today on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 08.15 WIB I along with students who take part in extracurricular Scout activities will carry out Haiking or nature exploration activities.
There are 41 students who registered to take part in this activity, they are all 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 4 Lhokseumawe City.
This hiking activity aims to enable students to utilize holiday time with positive and useful activities, as well as evaluate Scout learning materials that have been received so far.
In addition, after the exploration activities, we also carried out several competitions designed to increase the spirit of cooperation and competition among students.
The competitions include balloon toss, sarong relay, balloon run, and water volleyball. Thus, this activity not only provides valuable experience, but also strengthens the bonds of friendship among the participants.
The trek will traverse seafront, residential and highway routes with the aim of instilling students' love for nature and practicing scouting skills.
I give directions to all students
As a Scout leader and the person in charge of this activity I have prepared several strategies to improve safety and risk management, some things that might happen such as students crossing the road carelessly, students getting lost, students fainting, students pushing each other so that they fall and get hurt, and students swimming in the sea.
Therefore, before this activity began, I gathered all the organizers in charge and explained all the instructions that they should carry out in accordance with safety measures and risk management.
We have discussed with each other for a few minutes to prevent possible risks that could occur during the students' exploration activities. After everything was deemed safe and in accordance with the applicable procedures, we immediately proceeded with the tasks as determined from the beginning.
The principal opened the event
This hiking activity event begins with an alert ceremony, the ceremony activities are carried out by forming a circle as the rules apply in the technical guidelines for scouting in Indonesia.
The Head of Madrasah MIN 4 Lhokseumawe City, Salman D, M.Pd had the opportunity to open the event, in his speech he emphasized the importance of scouting activities for student self-development.
Ceremony participants accompanied by several adult committee members
He explained that for students who want to volunteer and learn health practices, there is the Youth Red Cross organization, for students who are interested in mountain climbing and camping there is the Jiwa Pecinta Alam organization. While for those who want to learn marching, there is the Paskibra organization.
However, by joining Pramuka, students can learn all these skills in just one place. "Scouting provides opportunities to volunteer, learn marching, explore nature, and camp. Hopefully, by participating in Scout activities, you can grow into a great person in the future," he said, hopefully.
After the ceremony was over the committee immediately headed to the location of the designated posts, there were two posts that we had made and several shadow posts as monitoring.
Students at the first post
At the first post students will get a number of questions about scouting and religious theory, students will be evaluated on the knowledge they have gained while participating in scouting activities.
Furthermore, in the second post they will be tested on how to carry out marching, besides that in the second post they will also get a series of tests on the ability of the senses to feel, the committee team has prepared several various foods that must be tasted so as to improve the ability of the five senses possessed by students.
Students arrive at the second post, they get directions from the post guard.

After all the nature exploration activities were completed, the students returned to the finish line, namely the school location. After all students gathered and rested for a while at the school we then continued a number of race agendas.
All of the competitions designed are competitions that encourage enthusiasm, cohesiveness and teamwork. Honestly, I was very happy to see students full of enthusiasm when carrying out a series of competition activities.
Prize distribution to the winners
The balloon volleyball race is the most exciting because this race is still very rare and has never been played by students, balloons filled with water if they cannot be caught will break and splashes of water will wet the surrounding opponents, this race is a very challenging and exciting race. Even some of us teachers also wanted to try it.
The balloon race is also an exciting race, students walk with balloons attached to their bodies to a certain line. Then they had to pick up their friends one by one so that they could be complete, if they fell they had to return to the line position.
After all these activities ended, we gave some gifts to the winning student groups. Congratulations to all the winners and see you at our next activity.
Thus this article, hopefully useful and inspiring all who read it. Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to comment.
