SLC | S22W2 : Anti-bullying Campaign by Teachers
Good afternoon Teachers and Students in the house, I believe we all are doing perfecf. It's a pleasure to be one of the beneficiary in the steem learning, I came across a topic and class that interest me more "Anti-bullying Campaign by Teachers". Lectured by @fantvwiki.
As a human, we do associates with people from different homes and discipline which may one way or the other warrant being bullied or deprived or our right forcefully. And the soar increase in corruption makes it even more worst nowadays compare to some years back.
Have you been bullied before, how did you feel. Most time we are being bullied in different circumstances, no one can claim being free from it except you've been indoor right from birth, sounds impossible!.
Bully is one thing that hurts and causes depression, I have experience it several times right from primary school, secondary school, workplace, within my society and even friends as well. I guess yours may be different from mine. I came realizing that those who bully only target vulnerable and weak ones, deprived them of their rights and power. But do they go Scot free if legal bodies are being consult of such act?.
That's why in today's lecture I've learned about
- Anti-bully
- Their goals
- Their examples
These were so impactive, and believe I've learned a lot.
To put into test what I've learned so far I'm going to highlight on the follow exercise given by the teacher @fantvwiki.
In your language, What Have you learned about bullying? And give an example of anti-bullying that is applied in your country or around you.

According to the lecturers teaching I point out in my understanding that bullying is the aggressive behavior intended to intimidate and harm others. And those who bully mostly target people the perceived as weak, these can happen either physical, verbal, social or cyberbullying that is being bullied on the net.
for some couple of years now, bullying has become so rampant especially with the rise of social media and online platforms which provide a new space for harassment and abuse to happen. And I've learn about the bodies involved in opposing such act which are policies and programs designed to create a safe, inclusive and threat free environment for everyone whether in school, workplace or other social settings.
School Anti-Bullying Policies: Many Nigerian schools have implemented anti-bullying policies in other to prevent and address bullying and the risk involved. this is very necessary because bullies are very common in school.
Be the Change Campaign: this is program that encourages children to report bullying and create peer support networks supported by civil society organizations, and there are here in my country to reduce bully.
Make an anti-bullying Poster or infographic with the creativity you have, complete with the steps to make it and the meaning of each image you make.
When I was writing this post I also thought of presenting it graphically to virtualize the sense, a lot of still and display of how the drawing will look like was busy ruminating in my brain, but I finally arrived at something presentable and informative.
I arrived drawing a little girl folding her aims crying because she was bullied and felt depressed. This idea came when I remembered that children do experience bullies in school the most which I was once a victim. I feel it's my best to present it this way.
The little tools I had available with me was enough to accomplish my drawing.

Here I began my sketching.
My own drawing style is different, penciling down the picture I had in my brain was a bit contemplating. But I needed to start somewhere, sketching from the head down made it easier for me.

Those were my initial areas to start, but that wasn't all. Let's see the next step.
At this point even a little boy of 7years can tell what the drawing was about unfolding, here the full body sketch was achieved.

That didn't mean I've complete the drawing, I had a little to add to make it a bit presentable.
You may have Wondered why I kept the space in the bottom during the previous step, it was for a purpose 🤓. I remembered I was tasked to create an infographic, so I thought of adding "STOP BULLYING" text to pass the information alongside with my drawing.
I also added some joins and rumple lines in the girls wear to make it a bit real.
And boom!!!!, My drawing was placed to conclusion. What makes it different from step 3?, I guess the difference is obvious. I went ahead running the finishing by shading the wears and hairs.
Publish your videos to oppose bullying on social media, it can be YouTube, Instagram, twitter, and TikTok.
The above video was a skit I made with my steemit friends and customized steemit Polo, the video is in rhyme with the task to oppose bully promoting compassion and empathy. We all need to stand against this act, SAY NO TO BULLY and YES TO EMPATHY.

Write your campaign message against bullying, using your language
Bullying harms us all, It doesn't just hurt the victim it affects our communities and our schools and our workplaces and society at large. We all deserve to feel safe valued and respected. It's time for change please let's do it together, together we build a strong pillar.
Let’s break the silence and not each other, stand up when you see someone being hurt speak out against cruelty and support kindness. like I said together we can create a world where everyone feels they belong.
Remember that your words and actions matter a lot, bullying stops when we stand united.
