My Favorite Lesson #1: “Pre-Colonial Administration in Nigeria.”
Hello steemians
I bring you warmth greetings from my own part of the world Nigeria, I'm so glad to participate on this contest organised by @fajrularifst.
What was your favorite lesson in school, explain why you liked that lesson. |
---|
My favourite lesson in school is on a topic Pre-colonial Administration in Nigeria. By my teacher Mr Dimgba, At Government secondary school Aloce, Nasarawa Eggon, Nasarawa State Nigeria.link
Firstly, He started with Hausa/Fulani political system of government follow by Igbo, and lastly the Oyo political system of government, because this are the three indigenous major ethnic group in Nigeria.
With my students.
Why I like the lesson was that, Mr Dimgba is very good at his job very passionate and expressed great expertise when he was taking us on that topic, and on a subject Government. And he made me fell in love with government, and to the extend I became an art student, currently now I'm a teacher, teaching government as a subject all thanks to my teachers and Mr Dimgba.
What achievements have you made with your favorite lesson? |
---|
I became a teacher.
Like I said, earlier because of the skills showcased by my teacher while he was teaching us Pre-colonial Administration in Nigeria makes me to fell in love with the lesson, because it open our eyes to know the reality and the system of government that our forefathers were practicing before the coming of colonial masters, that's the British government. Because I love stories and that triggered me to further my education on that field, now I have Nigeria Certificate in Education on the field of History and CRS. That's what I've achieved with my favourite lesson.
Share memories with the teacher who taught the lesson. |
---|
Well, as of that time, I was just a kid not much memories that I will be able to share, coz I finish my secondary education 2011, more than 14years ago and I was just 14 years at that time, my parents could not afford a device for me, so I could snap for any remembrance, and I can't remember in details right now. But one thing I know for sure, Mr Dimgba is the best teacher who has taught me during my secondary days, despite with the children brain or memory at that time but I must say he's good and perhaps my favourite teacher also.
Share the material you like/are good at from the lesson, give an explanation so we can understand it too. |
---|
That's the material I'm currently using.
All pictures from Redmi 14c.
The materials used then and now is still the same but with different kind of upgrades (edition), depending on the contest and details you need,
The materials I like from the lesson is Essential Government by Chris Debie. Because from this material you can find all the required details you need on every topic, and it's the materials I'm actually using at the moment in the school where I am serving.
I'm inviting @josepha @goodybest @ruthjoe and @dove11.

Great, you have knowledge about the history of your country's government, maybe one day you deserve to be one of the legislators.
I wonder how the process of ending colonialism in Nigeria? And who was the initiator?
The process was done by the key Nigeria citizens both at home and diaspora, Well,,, the initiators are Sir Herbert Macaulay which was later refers to as the father of Nigerian nationalism and other great nationalists like Anthony Enahoro, Sir Obafemi Awolowo sir Namdi Azikiwe etc who agitate the fight against colonialism.
