Hello dear steemian friends, it's great that we can continue the Steemit Learning Challenge (SLC) course in Season 22 Week 4, hope you all enjoyed this week's course materials.

❗❗Important to remember!!

Teaching the Brilliant Teacher team focuses on the education and knowledge of participants in the field of learning. Still, participants in the general category can also participate based on their experience and the material we deliver. This means that the theme of our lesson can be followed by all participants, but still by our big theme.

We also do not give ratings to participants who are identified as plagiarists or AI, and we have testing tools that we believe are accurate. What needs to be understood is that if participants are identified as violating these rules, we do not accuse but only inform the results of the checks we carry out.

👨‍🏫This Week's Lesson

Basically, teacher knowledge and skills refer to various aspects that are necessary for a teacher to be able to effectively educate, guide and facilitate learning. Teachers ' knowledge and skills can also be obtained from outside the school environment, and it is very important to improve the quality of teaching and their professionalism.

Some of them are seminars and teacher training or the like, as a form of opportunity to improve knowledge and skills. Seminars and training are two different forms of activity but often have complementary goals, namely to improve the knowledge and skills of participants, especially teachers or lecturers according to their respective areas of expertise.

Below are examples of seminars and trainings with various themes, and hope to provide new knowledge and information to the participants.

Seminar

A seminar is a meeting or discussion forum that is usually held to discuss a particular topic in depth. Seminars involve speakers (speakers) who have expertise or knowledge in the field, as well as participants who attend to learn, discuss, or exchange ideas.

Benefits of attending seminars

  1. Add knowledge and insight
  2. Inspiration and motivation
  3. Network Expansion (Networking)
  4. Skill Development
  5. Increase Credibility
  6. Getting A New Perspective
  7. Career Opportunities
  8. Follow The Latest Trends
  9. Increase Self-Confidence
  10. Entertaining and fun

Examples of some general plans for seminars

1. Education

  • Topic : "Effective Teaching Strategies in the Digital Age"
  • Target audience : the general public is prioritized teachers, lecturers, and educators.
  • Description : discusses the use of innovative technologies and learning methods to improve the quality of Education.

2. Business and management

  • Topic : "interesting Branding strategies in the age of Social Media"
  • Target audience : the general public is primarily entrepreneurs, marketers, and content creators.

3. Health and well-being

  • Topic : "Managing Stress and life balance"
  • Target audience : the general public is prioritized by employees, students, and the general public.

Training

Training is the process of learning or developing certain skills, knowledge, and competencies through structured methods. Typically, training is designed to help individuals improve their abilities in a particular field, whether for professional, academic, or personal purposes.

Benefits of attending training

  1. Improving skills and knowledge
  2. Expanding Professional Network
  3. Adding Value To Yourself
  4. Increase Productivity
  5. Career Boost

If seen in detail in the explanation above, then seminars and trainings have different target audiences even though they look the same. Seminars tend to be more general and informative, whereas training is more in-depth and focuses on practical skills. Meaning: seminars, are usually generally accepted so that the character and expertise of the participants are more diverse. While, Training is usually followed by people who really want to focus on one area and already have a basis for the knowledge they want to convey.

Example for Task number 2

Here is one of the trainings I participated in :

Organizational Competence and Management

Topic : “ "Basic training to realize a professional and character State Civil apparatus”

Target audience : State Civil apparatus.

Description : The purpose of the training I attended was to equip the participants and one of them I am a teacher, to have leadership skills, have organizational management skills, and increase understanding of an inclusive work culture..

In the training I attended, I gained a lot of knowledge related to managerial and socio-cultural materials. Managerial and socio-cultural are two concepts that are often used in the field of organization, society, or leadership.

This activity focuses on managerial which is how a civil apparatus of the state, manages, carries out Planning, Organization, direction, and control of resources to achieve certain objectives efficiently and effectively. As well as socio-cultural as additional material that focuses on ways to improve the understanding and sensitivity of the State Civil apparatus to the cultural and social diversity that exists in society and the environment.
