Hello Steemian friends, this seems to be the Last Course in Season 21. I hope the Steemit team can give us a chance to come back for the 22nd season later. On this occasion, we will continue the course on the topic of "Video Learning Materials", hope you all enjoy this week's course.

Task Background

Being a teacher is a task that requires a person to be smart and also able to communicate because communication is an important skill in the teacher's competency standards. Good and effective communication is very important for teachers in carrying out their duties and functions, and as a way to create a positive learning environment.

But at the end of 2019, the world was shocked by the arrival of the Covid-19 outbreak. A plague that spreads very quickly. At that time a preventive measure to minimize and stop the spread of Covid-19 was to carry out all activities from home, this was because Covid-19 had become a pandemic at a global level and attacked all corners of the world.

This also has an impact on the world of education, so many schools cancel learning activities and start learning online by utilizing all platforms and social media. One of them is YouTube social media, which is a means for teachers to deliver their material.

This is where the creativity and communication skills of a teacher are used and utilized to provide material online, this is also what I do as a teacher in delivering material to my students, for then they learn and do their assignments at home.

This week's lesson

In this learning week, we make it mandatory for those who participate to communicate and learn by sharing their skills, in this case, communication skills and utilizing social media as a way to convey material. This is not only needed when there are global problems that have occurred in 2019 but also can be an alternative learning process that can be used by its functions and benefits.

In the end, we will learn additional skills. Where a teacher can provide a variety of learning videos, actual, and quality. These videos are expected to help teachers clarify complex concepts, provide real-life examples, and create a more interactive learning experience.

Guidelines to be observed when providing material online, virtual or on Youtube.
  1. Use words that are polite and easy to understand, according to the language you use.
  2. Prepare well. Need planning before delivering the material well.
  3. Use simple language. Teachers can use simple language.
  4. If necessary you can do so by using visualization so that the teacher can help students understand the material.
  5. Use active learning methods: teachers can use active learning methods to help students understand the material.
  6. Limit the duration. Teachers can limit the duration of time so that students do not get bored.
  7. Make sure the sound, is much better than I exemplified.

Examples of Homework

The following is a video delivering learning materials that I made using the Youtube Platform during the pandemic.

First example

Video description
Material on the theme of the characteristics of living things.
This video explains the material and learning objectives as follows :

  1. Distinguishing living things from inanimate objects.
Understanding traits such as breathing, growth, movement, and reproduction helps us distinguish living things from inanimate objects.

  2. Increase Understanding Of Biology
By getting to know the characteristics of living beings, we understand biological processes such as metabolism, adaptation, and evolution that are the basis of life.

  3. Identifying Biodiversity.
Knowledge of the characteristics of living things helps to recognize different types of organisms and understand their role in the ecosystem.

  4. Supports Health and life.
By understanding how the human body and other organisms work, we can develop health, medicine, and environmental protection technologies.

  5. Appreciate Life.
Recognizing the characteristics of living beings helps humans better appreciate the existence of other organisms, maintain the balance of nature, and prevent overexploitation.

  6. The main characteristics of living beings commonly studied include. breathing, moving, growing and developing, requiring food, reproducing, being sensitive to stimuli, and excreting waste substances.

Conclusion :
Through understanding these characteristics, we can recognize and distinguish living beings from inanimate objects, as well as understand their interaction with the surrounding environment. The material also helps raise awareness about the importance of preserving life on Earth.

Second example

Video description
The Influence Of Sunlight On Plants.
By observing the influence of sunlight on plants, it will provide many benefits in terms of Science, Education, and practical application. In this video students and schoolgirls can learn :

  1. Basic Understanding Of The Process Of Photosynthesis.
Sunlight is the main source of energy for photosynthesis, a vital process for plants to produce glucose and oxygen. By observing the influence of solar light, we can understand how the intensity, duration, and spectrum of light affect the rate of photosynthesis.

  2. Optimization Of Plant Growth.
This knowledge is useful for optimizing plant growth, especially in agriculture or horticulture. For example, knowing the specific light needs of different types of plants can help determine planting locations, setting planting times, or using artificial lighting.

  3. Environmental Conservation
By understanding the relationship between sunlight and plants, we can help preserve natural ecosystems, for example by safeguarding trees and plants that are key to the carbon cycle and climate.

  4. Understanding Plant Adaptation.
Observations can show how different plants adapt to different light intensities, such as those under the forest canopy (shade tolerant) or in open areas (bright light tolerant).

  5. Knowledge about light Stress.
Too much or too little light can cause stress in plants. Understanding the influence of light helps in the identification of symptoms of plant stress, such as yellowing leaves or stunted growth, so that preventive measures or treatments can be taken.

  6. Education and scientific experiments.
These observations are often part of science education, providing learners with hands-on experience in the scientific method, experimentation, and data analysis.

Conclusion :
Observing the effect of sunlight on plants provides valuable insights to ensure plant survival, food production efficiency, and an overall understanding of ecosystems.

Homework

  1. Assume, that at this time a pandemic occurs. Make online learning materials by the material you master as a teacher or teacher (you must be the one who delivers the material). Duration at least 5 minutes and make it at least according to the existing examples, or you can add your creativity. (6 points)

  2. A description of the material you create, so that it can be understood by many other users. (2 points)

  3. Is it important for a teacher or instructor to have communication skills? Why is it important and why not? (1 point)

  4. What experiences do you have when creating these online learning materials, and what obstacles do you face? (1 point)
