In this 5th chapter, we will discuss other parts of plants called the most beautiful and interesting parts of a plant, almost everyone likes the parts of plants that I will publish in this publication.

As we all know Flowers have beautiful shapes and colors, and almost most plants have this beautiful part. Some plants also do not have flowers but have beautiful leaves that are beautiful in shape and color. Even flowers are said to symbolize something, it can be joy, sadness, Life, Death, sadness, and also related feelings.

So what exactly are these flowers? The benefits to plants and some other things about flowers. The following is a description that I published about flowers.

Understanding flowers and the function of flowers

Scientifically the flower is part of the plant as a generative reproductive organ in plants, this is because the flower also produces seeds as fruit which is the future of the growth of plants of the same type. For plants and especially flowering plants, there is a function of the existence of these flowers. In addition to being a reproductive organ, flowers are also a place for pollination and fertilization, but it is also a place where flowers meet male sex cells called pollen (stamens) and female sex cells called pistils.

Flower Structure

Because the flower is one of the reproductive organs of flowering plants, the flower has a structure that is found in every part of the flower. These structures need and require each other, to facilitate the reproduction process that occurs in these plants. Not only the inner structure, but the flower also has the outer parts contained in the plant. For more details, the following is the inner structure of the flowers found in plants :

The Outer Part Of The Flower
1️⃣Bractea is a protective leaf that resembles a leaf and is at the base of a flower arrangement.
2️⃣Pedicel better known as the flower stalk, is the part that connects the stem of the plant with the flower.
3️⃣Flower leaves also called petals or also called the flower crown, are the most interesting part because it has a different color on each flowering plant.

The Inside Of The Flower
1️⃣Stamen or Filament, is the part of the flower that becomes the male sex cell.
2️⃣Anthers or anthers are the upper part of the stamens that produce and hold pollen.
3️⃣Pistil often called pistil is a female sex cell that is useful as a tool for Plant Breeding.
4️⃣Ovary also called the ovary which is part of the pistil, is a place where the eggs will develop into new fruit or seed.
5️⃣Stigma is the head part of the flower pistil that serves as a place for pollen to attach.
6️⃣Style is an elongated part of the stigma that connects with the ovary or seed and is often called the stalk.

In another section of the next post, we'll look at how a plant reproduces. However, as a general idea plants can reproduce in two ways. The first is generative (sexual) and vegetative (asexual) reproduction.

Generative (sexual) breeding is breeding that involves male and female parents. Vegetative reproduction (asexual) is the reproduction that occurs in plants that do not involve the male genitalia and also the female genitalia.

Benefits Of Flowers For The Environment

Plants do have an impact and role in environmental life, as well as the flower parts found in plants, which also provide benefits to the environment. These benefits include :

1. As an ornamental plant that beautifies the environment.
2. Some types of flowers can be a proven herbal remedy for health.
3. Maintain the continuity of natural ecosystems and plants.
4. Be a source of food for animals, such as butterflies and birds.
5. Attract animals to be able to pollinate that will maintain the plant ecosystem itself.

In the end, that's a simple explanation of one part of the plant, namely flowers, this chapter is a continuation of the previous post on the theme of plants as a source of human life.
