CONTEST - Student Building Strategies (PART-2) || Sincerity of Students and Teachers

Hello my friends. I’m happy to be a part of this contest. Today, I will love to tell you all as a teacher, how we can be sincere to our students. All thanks goes to @memamun for organizing this contest.

As a teacher, how sincere should you be with your students?

We have to be truthful to them. When I say truthful to them, I mean by letting them know when they are right or wrong and that’s where sincerity comes in. Some teachers never let their pupils know when they are wrong just because they like the pupil and they do not want him or her to feel bad.

It doesn’t work that way. We have to be sincere to them and by being sincere, we can serve as a watchword for them.
This doesn’t mean we should fake things but we should let them know that we are not perfect and as adults, we make our mistakes too. That’s where sincerity also sets in and that way, they will feel more free to share things with you.

If you are not sincere to the students, it can have a bad effect on the lives of the students, do you agree as a teacher??

Yes! I totally agree with you. As teachers, we have to understand that kids spend more time with us than their parents. You may not agree with me but I’m saying that because, when the child gets to school, we will be together till the closing hour but when he or she is at home, the parents may still not have time for the kids since they will be carried away with other things.

So if we are not sincere with the kid, there is no one who may be sincere with such kid and it will affect their lives in future. When they grow, they may not be able to tell who is being sincere with them or not and it may cause them not to be sincere with other people too.

To be a good teacher, do you prefer to be sincere, or do you prefer to be strict? Why did you give??

The two! I can’t only be only sincere or only strict. I have to be in between. The pupils may not take you seriously if you are too sincere. Also, if you are too strict, the kids will get scared of you. If they are scared of you, they won’t want to tell you things going on and I’ve noticed that kids also have things going on in their lives and that’s why we always have to listen to them.

Therefore, I will just be in between. I won’t be too strict or too sincere with them.

If the teachers are sincere or strict, what is the good or bad effect on the students in the field of education?

If the teacher is sincere, such things that are likely to happen are;
• The pupils will like the teacher, feel free with him or her and be happy to tell him or her anything.

• The pupils tend to assimilate what they are being taught faster. If a teacher is being sincere with me, I’ll be able to learn fast.

• Lastly, there will be a good and smooth relationship between the teachers and the pupils.

If the teacher is strict , such things that are likely to happen are;

• There will be a poor relationship between the teacher and the pupils.

• There will be a poor teaching and learning process in the class. It won’t go on smoothly and will affect the education of the kids.

• Their mental health will get affected. This has to do with both the pupils and teacher. Anyone who is too strict will have a poor mental health. Also, if you are too strict on pupils, it makes them scared and it will affect their mental health as well.
