📺 TV Series Review: Continuum - Season 4steemCreated with Sketch.

Yesterday, I wrote about seasons 1 - 3 of continuum and discovered there's a season 4... which I've just finished binge watching!

With just 6 episodes, each approximately 40 minutes in length, I got through 2 last night and the final 4 today.

I doubt there'll be a season 5 but hey! You never know.

So did season 4 do a good job at bringing things to a close?

Warning: Contains Spoilers

Season 4

At the end of season 3, the "something" that happened was soldiers from the future returned (a future that Keira isn't a part of), guns blazing with Keira as enemy No. 1.

The soldiers were sent back by Kellog (Liber8's stock trader), who had taken over Alec’s companies in Season 3. But they came from a different dystopian future—one where Kellog ruled.

It's surprising how competent these time travellers are at creating new time travelling devices in whatever time period they end up in and this lot were no different. Soon after arriving, they used Kellog's resources to start work on a time travel device - with the intention of opening up a time portal to bring back a larger army. An army that would win the war that in 2012, nobody knew would happen.

Towards the beginning of season 4, the storyline is dominated by the conflict between Alec and Kellog. Alec, upset with Kellog, decided to hack his old company, steal the data and wipe their servers. Kellog, unhappy with this, decides to kidnap Emily - the girl that Alec had travelled back in time to save. Emily manages to escape (with some help from Alec) but leaves Alec anyway, afraid that staying with him will get them both killed.

The season is dominated by a continuous battle between Kellog, his army, Liber8, Keira, and Alec:

  • Keira still desperate to get home

  • Kellog desperate for power

  • Liber8 not really knowing what they want - other than wanting to be remembered.

Once again, it's a season of deceit and mistrust. Nobody knows who they can trust and even perennial liar Kellog is unable to trust his future self.

It's this mistrust that eventually leads to Kellog entering the time machine himself, in an effort to stop his future self from harvesting his organs. In doing so, he destroys that timeline, meaning that the future returned to Keira's timeline and she was able to return home - where future Alec was waiting for her.

It wasn't the dystopian future that she'd left behind... it was peaceful... beautiful. And her beloved son was there too, just the other side of a fountain. Playing happily.

But out of reach.

I'm pleased that the final season was only 6 episodes, it was enough. The final episode tried to wrap up every thread of the storyline, which in many cases was tedious and unnecessary.

The ending itself though worked. It feels complete and whilst the writers will have possibilities for a 5th season, I'd like to think they know the story's complete.

I deferred giving this series a rating at the end of my last post and I suppose it's time that I do.

It's a borderline 7 and when I reflect later, I might decide to bump this up. It's good... but not great.

7 would rank it alongside Joker, 3 Idiots and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse whereas as 6 puts it alongside Inside Out 2 and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I don't think it's as good as the titles I've rated 7. So it'll remain a 6.

Don't be offended I won't post anything wrong.

Thanks for support and downvotes @the-gorilla

Wow! You're so stupid.

He's downvoting me because I've zeroed out all of his reward farming. Just like I did to you.

So the only rewards he can earn is by curating other Steemit users. Which somewhat ironically, helps increases the wealth in the community and therefore benefits the platform.

You'll probably get a message from him spouting the same crap that he's been spouting for 5 years. He thinks that he doesn't give a shit, yet somehow, 5 years later, he spends a huge amount of his time giving a shit.

He downvotes me. I downvote him. He says he doesn't give a shit. He does. He thinks about me a lot. Because I beat him.

As you know, my earnings aren't from my posts or comments so I'm happy that he's downvoting me instead of somebody who might get upset.

That's how irrelevant he is. He's the only one who hasn't realised it yet. Scratch that - you and him are the only people who haven't realised it yet.

I hope you are well,@the-gorilla
Again thanks @spaminator and @steemcleaners
The-gorilla If you talk about spam and farming, you have not taken any action against the Tiptag community community and @tiptag.
Sir, you are taking action against a few accounts. If I make a report for you now, I can tell you many accounts which are doing farming and they have not done verification and are posting unvalued content plagiarism.
@arhag I am with him, I have told him on WhatsApp as well.
I know very well what your work is and what other people are doing, after your proposal will end, if you make a new proposal, I will start a boycott campaign against it.
@arhag Good.
