Is Shingeki no Kyojin worth watching? Here are a few reasons why you shouldn't miss it.

Sometimes, excessive hype can end up doing more harm than good to a series. This is the case of what has happened with Shingeki no Kyojin. There is no denying that it has been one of the most popular anime of the year. But that success has worked against it, especially when you hear comments along the lines of, "It's the best anime ever." To proclaim that so lightly what it ends up doing is to provoke a rejection effect, and triggers as a response other comments: "It's the most overrated series of the year".

And that creates doubts for those who haven't seen it yet. Am I going to be disappointed? Is it really as good (or bad) as they say? I had those same doubts, but I took the plunge to watch it, and when I finished it I set out to resolve those same doubts for people who are still considering watching the series. Like almost everything, it has pros and cons, and in this post I'm going to explain what I liked about Shingeki no Kyojin

The plot
Attack on the Titans has a pretty interesting story, which hooks from the beginning, and gives several twists that break the monotony. In addition, an action-adventure anime is appreciated among so many high school romantic comedies.

The soundtrack
Another great asset of the series: the music is really good. Both the openings (especially the third one) and the themes that sound throughout the chapters, especially in the battles. It gives a degree of epicness and tension that would not have been achieved with a more mediocre soundtrack.

The animation
Along with the music is another of the strongest points of the series. Visually it is impeccable, with a very fluid animation even in the most complex battle scenes or with crowds. It stands out even more due to the fact that the drawing of the manga on which it is based is rather crappy. Even within the most current series, this one stands out for its animation and character design.

The action scenes
This point is partly linked to the previous one, because the very good animation shines in a series that stands out for its fights, impossible acrobatics in the air and all kinds of action scenes. Throughout the plot there are certain moments of this type for which the whole series is worth watching.

I recommend starting to watch it, and trying it out to see if you like it. It's not very long, so you won't waste too much of your time. You will find a more than decent series, action and adventure, with an interesting plot and good fights. The soundtrack and animation are tremendous, that aspect does not usually disappoint almost anyone.
