BARBARIANS NETFLIX MOVIE REVIEW
On Netflix on October 23, 2020, six episodes of Barbarians were released. It is a true based story which refers to the tribes of um, Germanians and the roman empire. These tribes went on war to seek for vengeance and for wealth.
I will recommend this movie to you because you won't get disappointed after. It has alot of drama, love, action and the most important thing are the wise sayings.
PLOT
The plot takes place in AD 9, during the Roman conquest of Magna Germania, when the Germanic tribes are persecuted by the empire's high taxes and tribute demands. Petty infighting among tribal chieftains and the selfish aspirations of some tribesmen desiring peace with Rome stymie attempts to form a cohesive Germanic resistance.
Arminius, a Cherusci eques in the Roman Imperial army, was given away as an infant as a slave to Rome by his father Segimer, along with his younger brother Flavus, to ensure peace between his tribe and Rome. He returns to Germania to assist Nobleman Quinctilius Varus in keeping the area under control. He becomes the new chieftain of the Cherusci tribe after seeing Roman soldiers' massacres against his former people, and ignites an uprising by eventually uniting the tribes with the aid of Thusnelda and Folkwin Wolfspeer, his two childhood best friends. The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest begins these events with a major ambush of three Roman legions.
CAST OF BARBARIANS.
This is ARMINIUS(THE PROTAGONIST )
Arminius(main character) is a Barbarian Chief's child. His father unwillingly gave him to the king of Rome. His father was criticised for doing that but he had no choice. He is taken from his German family as a child and raised in Rome, where he serves as a living insurance policy to prevent the Germanic tribes from revolting against their new masters. The Romans prepare Arminius for military service to fight against his own people(Germans) but he rather joins them and fight the people from Rome. His father always had a belief that something like this will happen and it came to pass.

Never heard of it, but I do love a historical series that takes me back in time to learn more about history, and also give me fiction at the same time! Great idea, I might end up looking for this on Netflix!
