Rice pie - today in 300 characters
The flies are back attacking me and force themselves inside. Once outside I do everything that needs to do. Back in I kill flies. It takes me at least 3 hours a day. I'm glad to have a hallway but it's bad I can't ventilate.
Look at my rice pie. It looks better than expected, the rice was leftover :)
This photo is mine but it's fine if you use it.
Recipe
For the dough
170-200 grams of wheat flour
20 grams of yeast
A bit salt
2 tablespoons of sugar (you know you can do without right? Yeast will do it's job it only takes longer if it's cold.)
25 grams of melted butter
65 ml of milk (a bit warm you can melt the butter in it).
Make the dough, let it rest for about one hour or till it doubled in size.
A bit butter/oil in your baking pan, put the dough in it. Let it rest for about 15 minutes.
Poke some holes in the dough with a fork or stick.
Add 2 egg yolks to the cooled rice porridge (1.5 cup soft-boiled rice with milk/water, vanilla sugar and about 50-70 grams of sugar). Fold in 2 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour the rice mixture onto the dough base in the baking tin.
Oven: 170°C
Time: 30 minutes.
Note: My oven has no thermostat and only bottom heat and this is the result.
You can also use a round springform pan.

This pie is worth the try. Don't make the dough too thick and cover with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
Thanks for sharing your pie of today.
