RE: My entry to Contest 4.45 Looking Back/Looking Ahead #ccc- yearnings
I never looked for new at once. After the warranty passed I see if I can fix it myself. I always did already as a teenager.
I can not imagine one needs an air conditioner and it even can be one's first priority.
If my washing machine gets broke I hope I can buy a new one. I tried a lady/laundramat for the sheets once it was very expensive. If not I would wash as much as possible by hand (soaking in basins). I still have an old Miele centrifuge. With electricity I can use it. Very wet laundry will be my biggest issue because it's hard to get it dry.
I like that saying but if that blanket is too short or thin, the environment is cold it's hard to tug in and stay warm.
I wonder what repairments cost.
With us mechanics frequently say it cannot be repaired. It's developed to throw away, to force the consumer to buy new. They complain the parts needed are not available.
So humans wasting, producing much garbage is the result of the industry and policymakers.
I keep my fingers crossed the washing machine can and will be fixed soon.
A warm hug and love to you.

That's what the phrase "tuck yourself in as far as the blanket will go" is all about. If you are cold and your blanket is small, you will be cold but you just have to get used to it and endure the cold because you have nothing else.
Here now in my country we recycle every last thing. We have such a strong economic crisis that everything is now repaired with other old equipment. Taking spare parts from the old and placing it in the less old.
That's how they repaired the air conditioners in my house. From four air conditioners recycling the parts I made and renovated three air conditioners that work well.
We have already planned for the end of this month to buy a new air conditioner for my son's office studio. His computers need a very cool environment. The air conditioner he has there will be moved to my room again, which is where I got it from.
Here the ambient temperatures range from 40 degrees to 38 degrees. It is very hot out there so inside our homes we need these air conditioners all the time.
At least those of us who can afford it. Unfortunately there are many people who do not have this equipment in their homes and they have to suffer the consequences of the heat and their illnesses. It is very sad.
