I used to have a few flower plants in my garden but they each died a slow death over time. Flowers don’t bloom much for me. In fact, I think they refuse to bloom for me. I had a few orchids once before they too died.
I live in an apartment. The sun rises and sets at different angles throughout the year. Half of the year, I will have sun in the kitchen, in the morning and the other half of the year, the sun will shine at the balcony which I would like to think is the reason why plants do not do well for me. The plants are always in search for sun.
But I do have a plant that blooms occasionally for me, when it rains and when the sun shines. When it does, it would bloom for about 2 days before the flower withers. And when it does, I would capture a few photos of the flower if I don’t miss it.
The plant is known as the rain lily plant or also known as the Zephyr lily and fairy lily. This plant when it does not have flowers, look like grass, pretty kind of grass. They are bulbs and grow quite easily. Just very recently, a flower bloomed for me and I was elated.

I know this flower and I have this herb at home. I am waiting for its flower now that the rains are starting. It is a beautiful flower that you show in your article. Thank you for this explanation of what is happening to your plants in the apartment and it is very sad.
I realise it flowers when there is rain and sun :) So happy to see the flower. Yes it is quite sad. But I will continue to try growing them. Never give up! :)

I know the Lily people buy them but I'm allergic to it..The seeds paint everything. Flowers don't bloom for me either. it's too dark and for the biggest part of the year it's cold.
You could place a few pots at a different spot.
Some plants don't like the environment,certain smells, paint for example.
The only flowers I have today is some blosdom left in the cherry tree (they turn into cherries) and I spotted the first poppy (good to relax, make syrup out).
Yah... it is quite tough to move them around too because there isn't much space to begin with. And the morning sun shines just for an hour or two at max. I will enjoy whenever the flower blooms. So far, it has bloomed a number of times for me during this rainy weather.

En el jardin del edificio si tenemos varias plantas que florecen varios vecinos nos unimos y las cuidamos....
