TEAM 5: Curation Guideline for June 2024
Greetings from Team 5!
Every member of our team is full of excitement, because starting in June, new approaches to curation come into force. For us, this is an opportunity to prove ourselves, to demonstrate what good hunters we are for quality posts. I hope we can do everything right.
Personally, the following has always been a challenge for me:
We also want teams to look beyond communities. There are many good posts that are outside of any communities - just directly on people’s personal blogs.
I found dozens of such posts, but their authors did not participate in the club system, so I supported a few. Changes await us all in June, and I'm already wondering what will come of it.
Who Are TEAM 5?
Team 5 consists of users who know the platform well and interact with many authors. We represent different parts of the world, which will help us support as many different authors as possible. I think most of you know us well.
Name | Country | Team application |
@karianaporras | Venezuela | |
@soulfuldreamer | Pakistan | Application link |
@o1eh | Ukraine |
Common Goal
In our work, we will adhere to the following principles:
- Support as many talented authors as possible
- To work together as a team
- To encourage and lend support to users of the platform
- To reward content with 'content with a purpose', and 'content with an audience.'
- To seek good content both within communities and outside of communities
- To reward good comments to encourage Steemians not only to comment on qualified posts but also to comment well
Fair Contribution
Each team member will have a 24-hour time window to curate in a cycle of four days.
We wish to select at least 20 posts per day.
Guidelines
The following guidelines will be followed.
- The content must be plagiarism- and AI-free.
- The users must not use Bid-Bots or any vote purchasing services.
- We will be attracted to meaningful and thorough posts, but if a person is a photographer or an artist and his posts feature visual art with a minimum amount of text, he can also count on our support.
- Authors with a Voting CSI greater than 5, that is, those who are not only waiting for support, but also supporting the community themselves, will have a higher chance of receiving support.
Voting Percentages
Previously, here we had a table with a strict distribution of voting percentages in relation to the club status of the author. This month we decided to make a change as well. From now on, only the curator will decide with what percentage to vote for a post and, therefore, he will be responsible for his choice. From now on, not the club status, but only the quality of the post will determine the level of support. The same will apply to comments.
Team 5 is committed, dedicated, and excited to contribute to the growth of Steemit community.
Happy posting!

I am the newest one to join the
clubgang! While it's very subjective what to vote for or curate, I will try my best to upvote the deserving posts. Quality will always matter! And of course one has to give something valuable to the STEEM ECOSYSTEM to get our support. Be it your precious time, votes, engagement or meaningful posts and comments! It's always give and take...
A little magic dust your way:
Aptly noted. If only everyone remembered this...
I know you read a lot, so I believe you will be a super curator 😊.
@chriddi beat me to it.
Voting CSI is bullshit.
I can only assure you that we will not blindly believe in Voting CSI 🙂.
I wouldn't put it that blatantly, because the thoughts that its inventor steemchiller had about it were good and made sense.
So it's not the CSI that's bullshit, but what was made of it.
I think with the combined experience in this team, I can assume that you're not just relying on sheer numbers when it comes to CSI...
I've long realised that this value - especially among sc-team-members and SR - can be easily manipulated by many, many small mini-votes (even automatically).
Of course, this has been done for a long time (at the latest since this value was "officially" used). But I had to say it at some point... 😎
Undoubtedly, this indicator is easy to manipulate and do even like this 🙂:
I thought for a long time how to formulate a sentence about Voting CSI 😁. I wrote:
In this way, I tried to say that we will not pay much attention to it, but if you have 0, then the curator will think about whether to vote for you.

Hello, I know your position well and respect it. I gave your account as an example because at that time your CSI was over 200, which is the highest I could find 😁.
Steemcurator is just another account. He has the right to vote or not, and our right to write for the readers, not for anyone in particular. What some authors write is not what they want, but what Steemcurator might like is their problems and their content. Readers have the right to simply ignore such content.
I reserve the right to upvote your post from the Steemcurator account the day I curate 🙂. I hope this does not offend you, because I always read what I vote for.
Please respect that!

Wow! 216...
I could say "@atego, waht are you doing???", but since I know (him) I don't.
Great example! An example with a user who is not aiming for a high CSI value. Quite the opposite: he is not interested in any values.
Yes, great example... ;-)
😘
Habe ich was gewonnen ?
VgA🙂
🤣 Okay, I should have looked for a better one 😂
No, this one is perfect! So we were able to lure the old warhorse Atego out of his shell... 😉
First of all, heartiest congratulations to all three of you for being selected as Team-5 Curators.
I will try to post and comment according to all these points mentioned by you. And thank you very much for submitting the guideline post in such a beautiful way.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the entire curator team works after this month's changes. This month is full of surprises because of some new changes, one of which is as you said that "the quality of the post determines the level of support."
This certainly encourages more people to write quality posts, posts that have value, have meaning, and have benefits. Good luck to the team.
Thank you for your support. I hope we will be able to work well for the benefit of the community.
Great, this is how you contribute to the strengthening of the STEEM economy.
Thank you.

You are really doing a very great work in making sure that things worked out as expected
