Retention Rate Report for Week 1 SEPTEMBER 2020 :
A total of 379 Newcomers have passed their Achievement 1 (Introduction through Verification)
233 are active posting and commenting and 146 are dormant.
*A dormant account is an account that has no activities in posting or commenting for more than 7 days.
There is a decrease in active users at the end of week August probably because of the Mid Season Break for The Diary Game.
You can refer to the previous weekly report here for comparison in data.

Graduation day for Newcomers Achievement Program
4 newcomers have graduated from this program.
We have received about 5 more newcomers posts that have finished all their achievement tasks and currently still under review as I was a little bit busy this week, guiding the new Country Representative on how to help in the Steem Greeters Team project.

500SP Minnowsupport Program for Existing Steemian
Currently, 22 existing steemian are under this program and 4 users are dormant with no activity of posting and commenting on their account for the pass 7 days.
All of the newcomers that have at least completed until at least Achievement 4 eligible to apply for 500SP Minnowsupport.
I hope all of the Country Representatives could help us pass this information to steemian from your country.
All of newcomers who have graduated from the Newcomers Achievement Program will be automatically listed under this program and finally in the Proof of Dedication Whitelist.
3 steemian in this program have reached 500 SP in all time author reward.

Every week I will issue a new weekly table in the form of google sheet for everyone in the team to fill in the Newcomers' data after they have greeted the newcomers on the Achievement 1 post and after they curate their other Achievement tasks.

I have asked @neerajkr03 to develop a system for us to track the newcomers in the near future so the list is manageable as the number of users increase.
He agreed to look at it and maybe after he has finished polishing and working on his SteemIt Contest Management(SCM) project he will start to craft the Newcomers Tracking System, hopefully 😊
Steem Greeters Team Member contribution:
The Steemit Team have appointed new Country Representatives(CR) few days ago. I have asked all the new Country Representatives to join us in the @steemingcurators discord for a discussion.
Currently everyone is on the discord channel except for @knopka145 Country Representative for Russia.
I will personally go to her blog to invite her as she seems missed my message on the invitation.
I have proposed some curation tasks and steem greeters task to the new appointed CR.
The tasks is voluntary and we will put you in the rotation list for 100% daily upvote from steemcurator03 if you have accomplished the task specifically assigned to you.
I believe steemcurator01/The Steemit Team will upvote your weekly report as Steem Greeters too.

@tarpan and @toufiq777 are maintaining the table for newcomers coming from Bangladesh and also helping fill in other newcomers data in Achievement 1 before @fendit and @randulakoralage curating the Achievement 1 task.
I also ask them to update the STATUS for newcomers in the table every week so we have the data on how many newcomers are still active and dormant.
Greeting Newcomers
I have assigned @tocho2 to help with greeting the newcomers that on #introduceyourself tag or any other tag that newcomer might use as their introduction post on steemit.
She will be curating them with steemcurator03 as per our curation guideline and inviting them to join the Newcomers Community and the program that we The Steem Greeters Team have for Newcomers.
I will ask other newly appointed CRs if they can help @tocho2 with this specific task too.
I'm helping with curation for Achievement 1, greeting newcomers with tocho2 and tracking all other small participants from other countries in rotation through the tables to encourage retention.
We are grateful if you steemian helping us welcoming/greet and suggest the newcomers from the introduceyourself tag or any newcomers that you invite to join steemit/see not yet in the Newcomers Community to join us. Please do so at your convenience.
Message to all Country Representative
To all Country Representatives I hope you will help us The Steem Greeters Team to spread the information about the existence of the Newcomers Community to the newcomers that you see in your community or coming from your country.
Please let them know that we have a community for newcomers and the Newcomers Achievement Program that they can complete at their own pace, and IF they are able to pass at least until Achievement 4, they are qualified to apply for 500SP Minnow support Program.
As we know it's hard for some to complete the task from Achievement 5-6 as this requires a proper tool such as a PC or laptop to accomplish.

Curation Report for @steemcurator03
We use the @steemcurator03 Steem Community Curator account mostly for curating the Achievement tasks.
I also use it for daily ‘reward votes’ rotation, currently, I'm in charge of upvoting only the Steem POD members who actively contribute their time and efforts on the newcomers' achievement program which is maintaining the table and curating the achievement task.
Country Representative for Japan
I am supporting steemian from Japan on their thediarygame post and other posts too.
I have delegated 500SP to @japan-steemit(team account for thediarygame team) and another 500SP to @steem-japan a curation trail project by shortsegments here to support the contents of Japan steemian.
If you're Japanese steemian or currently steeming from Japan please consider delegate some of your steem power to this account to support steemian from Japan, in turn, we will put your account name in the curation trail too.
I have discovered two newcomers @sathsara93 and @kalpa-sameera currently working in Japan but they are originally from Sri Lanka. I have asked them to use #japan as their tag for their diary game post.
Other contributions:
I usually just try to make myself useful in the community. I don't know how to code and don't have that much steem power to curate steemian so I will try my best to fill in the gap wherever it need to be fill in the community.
I want steem value to increase proportional with time and want to help build strong Steem Community. I mostly spend my time for The Steem Greeters Project. I'm grateful that The Steemit Team supporting this project and also compensate us accordingly for our work.
I welcome and appreciate any feedback regarding the project.

I have read this project several times, without having found a link where you can know more about it, until today when I could find its user in Twitter.
We @criollitos, are a team from #Venezuela that participates in #TheDiaryGame, and among us there are 3 new members of the platform since the beginning of the second round, they are @mleclaret, @casamia12 and @gabriel2020, which we would like to know if they are being taken into account by this project.

It is particularly interesting to see the significant variation in retention/active rates between different countries.

@steemcurator01 thank you for the input. I'm not sure too, one of the factors is maybe they don't get a visit by the steemcurator accounts as sometimes when I'm doing the rotation vote with 03, when I have a chance, some of the newcomers never get visits by their regional curation account.
This is for the Indian continents, maybe because they haven't had a list for all the users yet as I have suggested because they been randomly curating the users.
As for other countries like African continents, maybe @yohan2on can explain this as he is taking care of this region, for other regions I think mostly because no curation on their contents that not about thediarygame.
For example, some of the newcomers prefer other topics to write on their posts, because not all of them have an interest in participating in thediarygame.
For now, most of them showing the interest to help in the steem greeters team project, I do hope everyone doing their part as assigned so we all can move forward smoothly.

We will get a clearer picture in a couple of weeks when the Diary Game finishes.
If you get any time to write a guidance post with suggestions for the regional curators / Country Reps on how to manage the curation process with large numbers that could be very useful.

This is the main reason why this thing happened
There are many people who expect only @steemcurator01 vote. They are not happy even after we voted them @steemcurator07. They want @steemcurator01 to come and vote in their post.
Everyone works to earn a good income from steemit. me and @tarpan have the opportunity to use @steemcurator07 account 2 days a week. And 60+ is posted every day in our Bangladesh And @steemcurator07 power is much less. We are able to give these people 0.5$ votes in 2-3 posts a week. Many are not happy about this. For this reason, many have skipped posting.
There are many such people. Those who have just done Achivement1. Then they did not post any. They did this just to get 4-5$. There are about 20-25 such people. I think you need to add a rules in Achivement1. That is, they must give their own (facebook / twitter) link in their post. By doing this you will understand. Who is actually using fake account.
The diary game started on August 1. At that time people were very interested. They tried their best to highlight their posts.
In the first session, @steemcurator01, many people voted well. This thing was followed by many users. And for this reason, many users in Bangladesh have participated in the diary game second season. They all thought that even in the second session they would get a good vote from @steemcurator01. I noticed in the first 2 weeks about 90% of the people posted beautifully. But when they saw that they were not getting votes. Then slowly many people were quitting their work. Again, the quality of many posts was getting worse. Again, the post days of many are getting better. They are interested in working 1000 days with steemit.
This proves one thing, who will work with the steemit team. Who else will not.
Those who are leaving work. If they still had support. Yet we could not say that they would be with us in the end. Because they came here to vote. Now he has left because he did not get a vote.
I will make such a list. After joining Steemit, they quit their jobs due to lack of votes. Many have gone on the hive again. I think these people should never be supported. @cryptokannon
I have seen many fake accounts from Bangladesh but the link realized later. Farming chains. That's true. Tarpan and Toufiq pas a huge effort to keep members active. I know that personally.
I agree with @toufiq777. Recently we have seen some people just complete their achievement 1 and then they become ghost in this blockchain. Some of them use our name but we never seen them before but they mention our name.
