Steem Representative Weekly Report #26 from [30th Oct-6th Nov, 2024]
Steem greetings @everyone and welcome to my blog as I present my 27th report as the Steem Representative.
It is yet another awesome week of work with heads high while trying to scale a balance between offline commitments and business as usual on Steemit. This has not been without some hitches but were all overcome with ease.
That said, below I will be talking about the different activities carried out across the platform within the above-stated period of time.
Steemit Promotion.
Talking about Steemit to everyone that is closer to me has become my way of promoting the platform. Everyone that is closer to me got to know about Steemit. Notwithstanding, none of them has shown interest so far in joining but they keep assuring to join. This goes with the adage that “…you cannot take a horse to the stream and force it to drink water”. However, I assured them of my availability to assist them with account creation and further guide them on the “Do’s and Don't” on Steemit.
As usual, facebook is one of the platforms I used to promote Steemit because I have over 2.8k followers but unfortunately, there are lots of scammers on Facebook. It makes it difficult to gain the trust of my Facebook followers to sign up because they believe anything that has to do with cryptocurrency is fake. Most of them I approached were once victims of cryptocurrency scams on Facebook.
My WhatsApp status was not also left out as I often used it to promote Steemit to my WhatsApp contacts. Notwithstanding, the often-asked question from my status viewers is “…are you sure it is real”. My response was try it out and see for yourself if it was real.
Activities with Steencurator03 Account.
It was the final week of curating with the SC03 account. I had 01 day of curating and also prepared the Google sheet for team members to use and input data for our weekly reports. On my day of curating, I curated a total of 26 posts and some meaningful comments.
I also guided one of the team members @max-pro who was a newcomer to community curation work. He is indeed a fast learner and easily picks up when guided.
I worked together with the team and agreed on a selection of 3 best posts of the final curation for October for extra support. It was a fruitful month of curation with no major challenges encountered apart from poor network connection due to an unannounced blackout.
Activities in Steem Cameroon Community.
It is a routine that every week we meet online and discuss how to better manage the community. We discussed about the mode of selecting posts for booming support. We also discussed having a meeting with old and new inactive Cameroonian steemians and trying to pull everyone along. We believe “…we are stronger together”. So far, some of the old inactive members are back though their activities on the platform is timid.
I still continued to hold discussions with some of the inactive Cameroonian newbies and encouraged them to be active. They keep promising to be active again but I haven't seen that yet in the likes of @nsangou-rudolf, @fabso, @mark-bryan and @tanjong-miriam.
As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse on the community, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit. No abuses of content was recorded. We hope steemians continues to be creative in ideas and create plagiarized free content and proper use of non-copyrighted images.
I also caution steemians especially newcomers about clicking on phishing links and operating 3rd party DApps. This is because they risk losing their Steemit accounts to hackers. I also informed them about “account recovery” within 30 days if not they stand to lose the account to hackers.
Content Creation.
It was indeed a busy week but I still stayed committed on the platform. I created a total of 5 posts including my weekly report.
I engaged with other steemians by commenting on my posts. I equally upvoted meaningful comments.
Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.
I used my effective Steem power of over 56k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.
I did power up some liquid Steem to increase my steem power and supported other content creators for their hard work on the platform.

Preference was given to authors writing creative and quality articles across the platform. Over the week, I reached out to 83 accounts and upvoted 115 posts with a CSI score of 14.9.
At this juncture, I have come to the end of my presentation of my weekly activities report.
You have only made 2 comments in the past week.
Very low for a Steem Rep...
Note taken, will have to sit up.
