INTRODUCTION

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Hope we've had a productive week so far. It's always a pleasure to be back amongst great minds. It's been a very busy week so far and I'm glad the weekend is here. Through out the week, I've been opportune To work with new clients and have been able to learn alot. I was able to meet new entrepreneurs as well. The thing is, when you meet new people, you get to learn from them. When I was starting off, I had alot of advice from entrepreneurs on what skill I should focus on more. Everyone with thier own ideology on what skill an entrepreneur needs to posses in order to make his business successful. After interacting, and alot of knowledge seeking, I've come up with a list of the most important skills an entrepreneur should have.

FIRST, WHO IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?

An entrepreneur in simple terms, is one who creates a business, endures all the risks involved and enjoys most of the profit. Yes most of the profit. The reason why he can't enjoy all the profit in most cases is that he has employees to pay. Entrepreneurship is one of the hardest thing to go into and the same time, very rewarding. When you look at the richest men in the world, they are all entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship entails investing. Having multiple source of income. It entails creating a business , building it up from scratch and taking it to immeasurable heights.

IS ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR EVERYONE?

NO IT'S NOT. Not everyone has the courage to become an entrepreneur. In most cases, out of a 100% of entrepreneurs who start, only 10% of them make it to the top. It takes hard work, dedication, sacrifice, consistency and time.

FEW SKILS AN ENTREPRENEUR NEEDS TO POSSES

There are no specific skills that an entrepreneur is required to have. So with that being said, let's mention a few:

SALES
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
FOCUS
ABILITY TO LEARN
LEADERSHIP SKILLS

SALES: As an entrepreneur, knowing how to sell your product is a very vital skill to have. One of the fastest and easiest way to make money is by selling products to people. As an entrepreneur, convincing people that your product is the best out there and they should buy it would go a long way in the growth and development of your company or business.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Learning how to communicate to your team or employees as an entrepreneur is very vital. When there is lack of communication, there is misunderstanding and misunderstanding creates problems. Letting your team know what you want and what the end goal should be of a particular project and making sure they understand the work to be done is important.

FOCUS: An entrepreneur without focus won't really go far. I mean, it is literally impossible for you to attain growth when you're not focused on what you're doing. An entrepreneur needs to remain focused all the time..

ABILITY TO LEARN: As an entrepreneur, one should always be willing to learn. The truth is times are changing. Technology keeps evolving. Things aren't the way they used to be. An entrepreneur needs to keep an open mind and be willing to learn new things for the development of his company and self.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS: For me, I believe this is an inborn skills for all entrepreneurs. Please, if you can't lead, Don't be an entrepreneur. Being an entrepreneur means you have people under you. People who look up to you on a daily basis. People who look up to you for directions and learn from you. This skill is arguably one of the most important skill an entrepreneur should posses.

CONCLUSION

Most people here are entrepreneurs. Which is why I have great respect for all of you. It hasn't been easy, it isn't easy and it won't be easy. With hard work, commitment, persistence and sacrifice, I believe we shall all make it to the promise land. The goal is never to give up and we shall all succeed.
