Hello guys, it feels good for me to make yet another educating and enlightening post today. And today I would be sharing with us in this content more about Advertising. As you all know, Advertising has always been a pillar of concern for new business men or men who want to expand their business customer and make more sales.

As I have surely noted in my former post about the use of Medias and Medium for advertising, it is important that we who are privileged to be in the 21st century make use these to get customers from and wide. This is because once you choose to use the internet or socal media, there is no limit whatsoever to letting people know about your business.

In my today's post, I would be sharing with us about customer's behavioral attitude towards Advertising. Before initiating your advertising strategy or is very important that you consider your manner of approach to presenting your product(whether through Medias or Mediums) in a way that it would be interesting to a potential customers.

Nowadays, company owners even go to the extent of paying influencers to market their product because they know that the manner of presentation and it's role in influencing the minds of people to buy a product really matters and thus the concept "Customer Psychology".


What is Customer Psychology?


Customer Psychology is simply the study of the behavior of potential customers which involves the weighing of interest he/she has in your product, his preferences and product choice, response to your product(good out services). The proper study of this would help seller know the behavior of their customers, how to approach and convince them in terms of advertising and thus satisfying your customers in such a way that he would come back craving more of your goods or services.

It is important to note that the study of this is solely to help companies make sales through advertising and get loyal customers in the long run.

There are certain behaviors a customer exhibits when a product has just been newly advertised to him. These behaviors when known to a marketer, would know how to put out the message about his product to the world. There are actually 5 behaviors they exhibit but the last one is solely dependent on the quality of your product and the customer's Personal preferences. The four behavior are as follows:

-Recognition
-Interest
-Desire
-Action

Below is a detailed explanation of these customer behaviors as it relates to the results after advertising;

Recognition


This is the first stage after an advertisement is made and in this stage, the marketer had created awareness that a new or old but yet unpopular brand has been made to the market. This advertisment made has not been registered in the minds of the public as a new brand in a wide range of product line.

For a customer to purchase a new product for the first time, the product must have been properly advertised to his friend or family who in turn has made him recognize this.

Interest


This simply means the result the already recognized product has made to a customer. Interest in this case can also mean Impression Created in the minds of the customer making him to start looking into that product line and comparing the newly advertised product to its competing/rivalry product.

This step is totally dependent on the manner of presentation made by the marketer because interest is mostly by influence making it a third party factor for getting a customer's attention about your product. Once the interest of a buyer is gotten, a desire begins to build up in their mind.

Desire


Desire simply relates to the result made by positively driven interest that leaves the customer craving to try out your brand of product. This desire is usually mostly exhibited very well in children whose attention can be easily drawn to something. It is also shown in adults who know exactly what they want.

Action


Once that desires begins to bubble up the individual begins to sought any means to get his/her hands on the product. This is the concept of Action. Action is simply the move made by the potential customer to get the product in a process known as Purchase.

The customer has heard slot of message about your product (Recognition), seen it's fliers every where(Interest), noticed that people actually try out your products recently and so begins to like your product/services, and finally decides to try out your product(action).

But that's not it all, remember I told you earlier above that there are 5 processes of which the four explained above is dependent on the efficiency of the advertising. This last step is strictly dependent on the customer and his natural differences, allergies, likes, dislikes etc showing that this step is a Customer Behavioral Factor, this brings us to the concept "RETENTION".

Retention

This is an after purchase process where the customer actually gets to like the product on his first purchase sure to the natural liking instincts he has. This is now a big plus to the company that has won his heart because he/she would never think of buying an alternative good. This is the stage where the quality of your product speaks for itself and in this retention phase, the customer doesn't need any other advertising to be convinced to buy your product. As long as his money is there, he would continue to remain a loyal customer.


Conclusion


I hope you clearly understood today's talk on the concept of customer behavior in regards to a product advertised to them because this is what usually happens to you and I when a product is preached on the first day.
Advertising also helps businesses to grow and stand out from it's rivals but keeping loyal customers is highly left to your product quality.

Customers behaviours is really like a book that has so many pages and chapters. Thanks for explaining the steps and the channel we can apply to get customers and satisfaction.
