Yo, we need to vote for more people like Lorena Gonzalez. They'll make all those companies hire us as employees. I can make $30 an hour just working for 3 of them at the same time! I'll just sit downtown and reject anything that doesn't tip more than $20 and I'll be making $70+ an hour every night. That will be so much better than the average $16/hr I'm making now after expenses. No more hustling and trying to earn a profit!
Of course, we'll need a Union ASAP.
Unions will guarantee:
- Can't be fired for working for multiple companies at the same time.
- We can work when and where we want. Schedule Schmedules.
- Can't be fired for refusing orders that don't have $20 tips.
- Can't be fired for late deliveries.

Two Years Later
Guess I'm lucky I never got hired. After the worker protection bills were passed the companies hired 25% of their contractors.
My friend Cindy worked for $15 an hour with tips and put over 60,000 miles on her car last year. They forced her to work for one company with schedules and everything! Union dues are $100/month and with the strikes, she was out of work for almost a month. She really racked up the mileage on her car. Workers now have to accept the orders assigned and have to meet quality standards. She used to stay home with the kids during the day and work nights when her husband was home. She quit last week since it cost her more in daycare and vehicle expenses than she made to work.
Mom & Dad let me move back in. I hope they don't kick me out since it's getting crowded after my brother and his family moved in. Dad lost his consultant contract with the company he retired from. At 70 it's hard to find a job.
I'm working at the local Taco's R Us for $8/hr. Years ago I used to write short stories for websites. I was able to sell 2 for $10 this year. It's the only legal side hustle anymore and everyone is doing it. I did Mturk for a little while before it was closed to US residents. The old lady down the street let me mow her yard for a while before she found out that it was illegal.
