IMHO, string theory is the conspiracy theory of maths.

Yeah, the article actually mentioned that string theory is still not a mainstream theory among physicists. I probably should have included that in my summary, too.

Personally, they lose me when they go beyond 4 dimensions. I get the mathematical concept, but my mind just isn't equipped to even understand what that would mean in the physical world.
