Rhino Fact #1
The word “rhinoceros” comes from two Greek words: “rhino” (meaning “nose”) and “ceros” (meaning “horn”). Rhinos can run at speeds up to 31 mph (50 kph), and a charging rhino can even scatter a herd of elephants. Lions will break off a hunt to avoid crossing a black rhino’s path.
