Can you live in the city you live in?

Have you ever asked yourself this question?

I would like to start the conversation by staying alone with this question for 5 minutes. I was born and raised in a city that can be considered a middle-class city, and my education processes have always passed in cities of this scale. I have always loved to travel to big cities, but when it comes to the question of whether I can live, I have always approached negatively. Therefore, when I started my professional life and established a family with my wife, we settled in a town that could be considered small. Although this is a bit of a professional requirement, we have always adopted the idea of living in a quiet place.

Located on the shore of a flat plain at an altitude of 900 meters between mountains reaching an altitude of 2800 meters, it is a town where 4 thousand people live. People in this region earn their living from grapes, cherries, apricots, apples, walnuts, almonds and seasonal agricultural products. It is an indispensable field in cattle and small cattle breeding. This place is like a green paradise garden. Trees meet water in a paradise that opens to the lake at a distance of 10 km. There is also a small amount of freshwater fishing.

I, on the other hand, have lived here with my family for 10 years and am an engineer responsible for the operation of a mine. I watch this scene I am describing from a height of 250 meters every day and I can say that I am in love.

Let me start by talking about the biggest advantage of living in a small area, not being crowded. Therefore, there is no traffic, the air is clean. Meeting the needs and traveling takes very little time. I can devote all my time left from work to my family. There are no high buildings and it's like I'm closer to the sun and the sky than anyone else. In the apartments in the cities, people no longer know their neighbors, but I'm sure this is a characteristic of crowded cities. Because I know and meet everyone in the neighborhood I live in. In quiet places, people are warm and trusting of each other. They can make requests from each other and entrust each other, which strengthens the bond in relationships.

Since agriculture and animal husbandry are widespread, it is possible to buy products from the producer both more naturally and more appropriately. It would not be wrong to say that my children almost never used the milk in the markets.
It is 5 minutes away and very fun to do a forest walk, mountain tour or coastal tour in your spare time.

Since the activities are both natural and appropriate, it is easier to save compared to the city. We have owned a car and a house during this time we worked and and besides, we had the opportunity to travel to most parts of the country we live in with our savings. Its largely thanks to where we live. A safe place for my children away from traffic and crowds. I am at peace when they are at school because they are in a class of 10 and they are under surveillance. We know their trainers and meet them all the time. I can spare the time that I don't lose in the busy city for my children's education and contribute to their future, which makes me very happy.

We have always talked about the advantages of the small town, of course there are disadvantages if we touch on them. Although natural activities are close, social activities are very few, we have to travel an extra 100 km to reach them, or we have to travel the same distance for shopping such as clothing. Or we must doing online shopping. Shipping times are 3 times slower than the city.

My children's art, sports and music education takes place in cities, sometimes we have to travel 3 hours for half an hour piano lesson or we have to stay separately for a while during long school holidays. But somehow I am happy that I have the solution and the opportunity. Perhaps it is the difficulty in reaching that makes artistic activities more valuable for us. I can say that I am completely satisfied with living where I live. Even if I leave here somehow, I don't want my ties to be cut.

So how much do you like where you live?

In the coming days, I will talk about the production and business volume in the geography I live in, nature activities, local food and social opportunities in the surrounding cities. Your opinions are very valuable in terms of the format of my future posts, please do not spare your thoughts.

Lovely photos.

Thank you.

The closing question is a good topic opener 😄 There is a beautiful mountainous landscape in my area for wandering. So to answer, yes I can live, in the city where I live. It was an important aspect for me that it should be both modern and still close to nature. That is why Gazdagrét became my favorite place, which is close to the area of Budapest (the capital of Hungary), but at the same time it is far from the noise and the traffic, which would not be good for a healthy nervous system anyway. I'm closing my lines because it will be funny if my comment turns out longer as your article 😜

Thank you for your valuable comment.
I'm sure if we met you, we could chat nonstop for days. 😄
I will be in the comments section of your posts when I have the opportunity. Please visit my blog from time to time.

If you publish a post about the place where you live, I will be in the first place among your readers.😄😜
