The role of the military is more important for the internal security of a country.And to capture this importance, to highlight this importance to the common people, to inform the Bengali nation.To educate the people about the glorious history of the military,the Bangabandhu Military Museum was created.

It is located on the west side of the Novotheater in Vijay Sarani, the capital city of Dhaka,Bangladesh.It was inaugurated on 6 January 2022.Although it was established in 2022, it was established in Mirpur Cantonment in 1987.Later, it was shifted to the west side of Bangabandhu Novotheater on Bijay Samari Road, Dhaka in 1992,and with the initiative of modernization in 2009,a project was prepared and implemented in 2016 covering 10 acres of land and costing Tk 276 crore.

The museum houses the badges, uniforms,
weapons,ammunition,cannons,anti-aircraft guns and various vehicles used for communication of the army commanders during the Liberation War in 1971.

The museum has six separate sections including a gallery for the Bangladesh Army,a gallery for the Navy and the Air Force,and a gallery for each force. Bangabandhu Corner.

It has art gallery, library,archive,sculpture,
multipurpose exhibition gallery,briefing room,
Souvenir Shop,First Aid Corner,Multipurpose Hall, Seminar Hall, Cafeteria,Mukta Manch,3D Cinema Hall,

Illuminated fountains and vast open spaces
are all a wonderful collection.
