The Rada Quest project celebrates its first year publishing content on the Steemit blog! If you're new, let me tell you a little bit about Rada. Rada is more than just a strategy and trading cards game.

El proyecto Rada Quest cumple su primer año publicando contenidos en el blog de Steemit. Si eres nuevo deja que te hable un poco acerca de Rada. Rada es algo más que un video juego de estrategia y de cartas comerciables.

Rada's story began to take shape in the mind of the one who writes to you (Marcos DK) 10 years ago. What began as a collection of small fantasy stories to enliven a role-playing game began to come to life of its own and create its own path.

La historia de Rada comenzó a tomar forma en la mente de este que os escribe (Marcos DK) hace ya 10 años. Lo que comenzó como una colección de pequeños relatos de fantasía para amenizar un juego de rol, empezó a cobrar vida propia y a crear su propio camino.

And then came the illustrations. Tired of borrowing drawings, I started creating my own illustrations. The first ones were horrible. With a lot of practice, perseverance and learning from the best, I have developed a very interesting skill, in my own opinion.

Y entonces llegaron las ilustraciones. Cansado de tener que pedir dibujos prestados comencé a crear mis propias ilustraciones. Las primeras fueron horribles. Con mucha práctica, perseverancia y aprendiendo de los mejores, he desarrollado una habilidad muy interesante, en mi propia opinión.

All this happened in my spare time, when I wasn't working as a computer science teacher. Until one day I decided to take the leap and throw Rada's universe into the world with a video game. I think for me it is the best way to do it since I will be able to join the 3 facets that define me as the creator of this fantasy universe: Writer, artist and software developer.

Todo esto ocurría en mi tiempo libre, cuando no estaba trabajando como profesor de informática. Hasta que un día decidí dar el salto y lanzar el universo de Rada al mundo de la mano de un video-juego. Creo que para mí es la mejor manera de hacerlo ya que podré unir las 3 facetas que me definen como creador de este universo de fantasía: Escritor, artista y desarrollador de software.

But it's not a project that wants to take it alone. I'd like Rada to be a fantasy world where many of you could feel part of it.

State of development

Rada Quest is a multiplayer and free-to-play online game that is still under development. The game style is about tradings cards and building. The theme of the game are the adventures of epic fantasy, sword and sorcery. The illustrations on the cards recreate fantasy scenes with courageous warriors and beautiful sorceresses. There is also place for monsters. The game includes a real-time strategy system on resource generation, building construction and development of a skill tree. However, the main body of the game is the creation of a deck of powerful cards to compete against other players or against the creatures of the game at events.

Rada Quest es un juego online multijugador y gratuito que aún está en desarrollo. El juego entra en la categoría de "Juego de fantasía de cartas comerciables". El tema del juego son las aventuras de fantasía épica, espada y brujería. Las ilustraciones de las cartas recrean escenas de fantasía con valientes guerreros y hermosas hechiceras. También hay lugar para los monstruos. El juego incluye un sistema de estrategia en tiempo real sobre la generación de recursos, la construcción de edificios y el desarrollo de un árbol de habilidades. Sin embargo, el cuerpo principal del juego es la creación de una baraja de cartas poderosas para competir contra otros jugadores o contra las criaturas del juego en eventos.

In September 2019 I started with the development of the game system. The first few months were very hard due to the problems implementing a Client/Server system. The game must be online multiplayer and players are expected to interact with each other in real time. This requires a well-defined structure and its development has taken me almost 6 months!

Now I can focus on the game's own mechanics and the advances are more satisfying.

However, to make the wait more enjoyable, I have developed a mini-game with which you can acquire as prizes some items that will be useful in the main game.

I am currently developing the Quest section, where players will have to guide a character through maps to find treasures and face enemies with their deck.

The design of the maps, in the purest RPG style, is quite laborious, but I feel very encouraged with the rapid advances.

En septiembre de 2019 comencé con el desarrollo del sistema de juego. Los primeros meses fueron muy duros debido a los problemas de implementación de un sistema Cliente/Servidor. El juego debe ser multijugador en línea y se espera que los jugadores interactúen entre sí en tiempo real. Esto requiere una estructura bien definida y su desarrollo me ha llevado casi 6 meses!

Ahora puedo concentrarme en la mecánica propia del juego y los avances son más satisfactorios.

Sin embargo, para hacer la espera más agradable, he desarrollado un minijuego con el que se pueden adquirir como premio algunos objetos que serán útiles en el juego principal.

Actualmente estoy desarrollando la sección Quest, donde los jugadores tendrán que guiar a un personaje a través de los mapas para encontrar tesoros y enfrentarse a los enemigos con su mazo.

El diseño de los mapas, al más puro estilo RPG, es bastante laborioso, pero me siento muy animado con los rápidos avances.
