Today the sun has shown up from time to time and you could almost forget in which season we are, but a look at the weather forecast has soon brought me back down to earth.

Yep, it's still winter and the white fun isn't quite over yet. Not that I'm bothered by it, after all, you get used to everything and learn to appreciate each season. But looking at a few photos that I had taken a while ago, I realized again that we have been quite lucky so far this year. At least here at our doorstep, although it has snowed regularly, but the amount of snow has remained within the usual limits.

Today's pictures show that it can be different, because opening the door and looking outside offered many big surprise at that time. Over night we were often gifted with a new thick layer of fresh snow, so there was no chance of boredom and we always had plenty to do in the mornings. We didn't lack for exercise, as the way to the street was long and had to be mastered somehow. But to be honest, clearing snow is actually a lot of fun for me. A little activity in some fresh air is always good, and especially in winter I usually don't get enough of it. After all, everything may have a deeper meaning.

And that's why I'm quite relaxed about the next few days. It can't and won't get that bad. And even if we should get snowed in again, I will find some fun and be able to enjoy myself.

For now it's weekend and I hope you all will enjoy it in peace and quiet. And everything that follows will come later.

Auch wenn sich heute ab und zu die Sonne gezeigt hat und man fast vergessen konnte, in welcher Jahreszeit wir uns immer noch befinden, hat mich doch ein Blick auf die Wettervorhersage wieder zurück auf den Boden der Tatsachen gebracht.

Jawohl, es ist immer noch Winter und der weiße Spaß ist noch nicht ganz vorbei. Nicht dass ich mich daran stören würde, man gewöhnt sich ja an alles und lernt jede Jahreszeit zu schätzen. Aber bei einem Blick auf ein paar Fotos, die ich bereits vor längeren Zeit gemacht hatte, ist mir doch auch wieder bewusst geworden, dass wir in diesem Jahr bisher doch ziemliches Glück gehabt haben. Zumindest bei uns vor der Haustür, wo es zwar auch regelmäßig geschneit hat, sich aber die Schneemengen doch halbwegs im üblichen Rahmen bewegt haben.

Das es auch anders geht, zeigen meine Bilder, denn zu dieser Zeit was es immer eine große Überraschung, wie es denn vor der Türe aussehen würde. Die Schneedecke wurde oft regelmäßig erneuert, sodass keine Langeweile aufkommen konnte und man morgens immer ordentlich was zu tun hatte. An Bewegung mangelte es nicht, denn der Weg zur Straße war weit und musste irgendwie bewältigt werden. Aber um ehrlich zu sein, macht es mir eigentlich viel Spaß, Schnee zu räumen. Ein wenig Action on der frischen Luft ist immer gut und gerade im Winter mangelt es daran ja meist. Vielleicht hat ja alles doch einen tieferen Sinn.

Und daher bin ich ganz entspannt, was die nächsten Tage angeht. So schlimm kann und wird es nicht werden. Und auch falls wir noch einmal eingeschneit werden sollten, werde ich schon meinen Spaß daran finden und mit Sicherheit auch haben.

Für jetzt ist erstmal Wochenende und das wollen wir nun in Ruhe genießen. Und alles was danach folgt, kommt später an die Reihe.
