Finally Got My First Doze.

Some of us continue to believe the misleading information dispersing in social media concerning this ongoing coronavirus vaccination. This has given negative impacts most especially on those people who are just focusing on her says and exaggerated stories. The truth is, this virus had already claimed thousands of lives and caused the fall of the economy in many countries.

Yesterday, October 14-2021 was scheduled for the first dose I've been waiting for this for so long since this is also one of the reasons why I still can't go back to the Philippines. This vaccination has given me confidence and inspiration to be protected by this virus and hope that we all can overcome this situation. So I got a shot of Pfizer vaccine yesterday. They said that amongst those vaccines it is the strongest and may bring side effects to the patient. To be honest, I was thinking about those “what if” and negativities that might happen to me after the vaccination as I read on social media. Therefore I want to prove to myself if it's true or not.

The process,

My scheduled time was 2:30 in the afternoon and we arrived in the clinic at 1:30 p.m. The medical staff immediately entertained us and gave instructions on how to fill up the vaccination form. So I was just patiently sitting down at the corner waiting for my turn. I've also seen some locals who are with us but in a different row.

At around 2:00 pm, the medical staff guided us to the next area. There, I've seen the crowd but still on social distancing. After, the staff interviewed us regarding our health condition or if we are taking some daily medicines. Then we are again transferred to the next area which is now for the actual vaccination

During the vaccination, we are then instructed that taking pictures is not allowed while the vaccination is ongoing. Unlike those other countries were in the even the staff ask to have some pictures with them. Japanese people are private, you are not allowed to post their pictures even if they are with you without their consent.

In no less than an hour, my vaccination is done! Officially I am now a zombie😀………
Now let us talk about the so-called “side effects or the adverse reaction of this vaccine to my system”. Right after the vaccination, I feel like I am floating, my hands are too cold and my left shoulder where the needle was pierced was in slight pain. I felt headaches and fever. In my mind, I wanted to take a rest, but our company is busy, I need to go back and continue working right after my vaccination. After work, I immediately went home and lie down on my bed. I lost my appetite. What I've got was just a cup of milk and some fruits. It seems that my body is very heavy. I want to divert my attention by trying to read posts and work in communities but my body says “no.” Then I get into bed and rest. There I've come to realize that it is really hard to be away from your family especially this time when you needed some care and attention. So, I was just comforting myself that “everything will be okay”. Hopefully, after this dilemma, I can finally go back to the Philippines and be with my family again. Thank God, I am fine now!

In conclusion, at this moment of our lives, we should seek solutions and obey our government in battling this war of the unknown. Let us not pay attention to those negative thoughts. It will only add the tension, not a solution. Every one of us should get vaccinated, and be free from this virus. The human race is now in life and death situation, we must unite in fighting this virus!
