Hachiko Statue, located in front of Shibuya Station in Tokyo, Japan, is a bronze statue of a dog named Hachiko who became famous for his loyalty and love for his owner. The story of Hachiko is one that has touched the hearts of millions of people and is considered a symbol of devotion and love.

In 2018, I had the opportunity to visit the Hachiko Statue and Shibuya Station in Tokyo. The experience was truly unforgettable. When I arrived at the station, I was immediately greeted by the sight of the statue. The bronze statue of Hachiko was standing proud and tall, his eyes gazing into the distance as if he was waiting for his owner to return. The statue was surrounded by people taking pictures and petting it, and there was a sense of peace and tranquility in the air.

I learned that Hachiko was a Akita Inu dog who lived in Tokyo in the 1920s and was known for his unwavering devotion to his owner, a professor named Hidesaburo Ueno. Every day, Hachiko would accompany his owner to the train station in the morning and then return to the station in the evening to greet him when he returned home.

One day, however, Professor Ueno did not return home, having suffered a fatal heart attack at work. Despite his owner's absence, Hachiko continued to wait for him at the train station every day for the next nine years, until his own death. The story of Hachiko's loyalty and devotion to his owner touched the hearts of many people, and the statue was erected in his honor in 1934.

As I continued to explore the area around the Hachiko Statue, I was struck by the bustling energy of Shibuya Station. People of all ages were rushing to and from trains, and the sounds of cars and trains filled the air. Despite the noise and chaos, I felt a sense of comfort knowing that Hachiko's statue was there, a reminder of the love and devotion that can exist between a human and an animal.

After spending some time at the Hachiko Statue, I decided to take a walk through the nearby streets of Shibuya. The neighborhood was full of life, with people shopping and dining at the many stores and restaurants that lined the streets. I was struck by the diversity of the people I saw, and the energy of the area was truly infectious.

My experience at Hachiko Station and the Hachiko Statue in 2018 was one that I will never forget. The story of Hachiko's devotion and love for his owner is a testament to the powerful bond that can exist between humans and animals. The Hachiko Statue serves as a symbol of this love and devotion, and my visit to Shibuya Station was a reminder of the beauty and complexity of life.
