Running late - Happy 2025

Running late? Not good for the last day of the year. Slow is the best. No rest here.
I am the on-call worker of the on-call worker. Good for occasional work, at least that was the idea. I have a daily job and that is not the intention. Loyalty and honesty are rare. You would think that would be the case in December with the Christmas spirit and all. The opposite is true. Lies and deceit are common at my work. Of course, everyone is sick at the last minute. Sick like school sick (not feeling like it or preferring to go on holiday). I don't mind because I still have a somewhat empty bank account after the vet topped up his bank account (he is already renovating the practice). It is also nice to have something to do now that my family is leaving again. The house will be empty again so that the dog and I can recover and sleep because that is what I am going to do when all the hustle and bustle is over (another week?).
I also have to arrange a laptop. My mother bought it when my computer broke. Both are about 9 years old, the PC is probably even older. The blue screen is there more often and that makes working more difficult. Enough plans for the new year to realize but most can wait because I'm still managing and even though I'm later than others too late I'm not without debt.
