Should friends applaud for you? I rather have them to tell me the truth. Envy can be a drive to improve and achieve goals set.
I try to understand what you mean with Elon Musk. For sure he is envied by many just like anyone else (and if not envied hated).

Friends never grow the same way, nor do partners. There's always one who support the other and gives all credit away while making compromises. Look around you and you will see that people, friends, relationships are rarely equal.

If it comes to parents, there are plenty who hate their children, envy them and don't care to frame them or beat them to death. If this is not the case with you, you are raised in a warm nest.

Are you able to love? Are you able to like? If you don't invest in someone you should not expect something back. It's not different from here. When was the last time you read me and left a comment? No way you will make and keep friends if you are never willing to make a compromise.
