I can never throw away when I see my phone ringing, because you are trying to check on for me and also you are trying to hear from me...
For someone to call you he or she have you in mind always that why he calls you always to check on you, and in every call always appreciate the caller because he have you in his mind...

My phone never makes a sound, no notifications and if I sleep I switch of the wifi. It's bad for your brains to sleep with phones so shove it aside and not keep it underneath your pillow.
You won't believe it but there's life without the phone, especially the smartphone, invented for your convenience not to be present 24/7. All those phone calls, especially made loud and in public... I miss those days when phone calls were important, did bring joy, the magic of hearing the voice of someone dear instead of the next complaint, bot, salesman, or scammer trying to fool me.
I wish you peace and a relaxing time. One without (emergency) phone calls and you know @el-nailul you don't need a phone to call me.

Some phone calls are for scam, some phone calls brings joy and goodnew to someone, some phone calls brings bad luck, some phone calls is to check on your friends...
For me I see phone call is the best way to check on your friends in terms of calling them, to ask wether they are good or not
It's not the thing itself (phone call) it's how it is used. There is a lot of abuse going on with phone calls. Many people prefer to just not use the phone for calling or receiving calls. Personally I have the ringer turned off and prefer texts and messages. Whatever works for you.
It's indeed not the phone but the way how the average phone calls today are making us feel miserable.

It's clear we live in different worlds. I write with friends, messages included and we write long texts not just a few words or bad grammer.
The only one calling me is my son if at work and he has his break or is bored. He calls via the internet does the talking or I can listen how he works 🤣 meaning I continue my work these days while we both are on the speaker.
I guess it makes him less lonely which is fine and if he's lucky his cat meows to him.
If suggest you to read the other entries. It will give you an idea why we no longer care about phone calls.
It is exactly as said: all the scam, bots, salesmen, rudeness, lack of norms, values, disrespect shown to whom you call (like we say: I didn't play with you in kindergarten or I did not marble with you!), the time calls are made, wasting my precious time, putting me on hold for over 1 hour or worse... it takes all the fun of a phone call away.
If a phone rings in a supermarket, the bus, out of the streets me and my family are close to a heartattack. Why all that noise, the endless talks. If it comes to it it's rarely a need call or brings joy. I only have to look at the faces. Isn't it bad many are scared to answer the phone? Because many suffer from that. We feel forced to pick up. How come?
I prefer the written word, sentences written meaningful to the writer addressed to me above and therefore worth reading. All the blah blah blah I can't understand,I'm not interested in gossip or the latest news or latest invention. The caller is not interested in me anyway so why listening? It's all a facade.
If I make a phone call at all I take a seat in a quiet environment and give my full attention. So no walking in a crowded city, while in a bus or taxi. Why all those calls in the supermarket? Take your shopping list with you and if it's emergency step outside and pay attention.
There are only 8 people allowed to call me. The chance the will is small. They all would prefer a message/e-mail above a call.
Why? Because they know they are read and receive an answer. I answer when it fits me just like they answer me if it fits them. It keeps relationships more healthy. Valuable answers both sides know the other invested in.
I don't see value in
'Hey, man how are you doing, did you here... and you won't believe what happened to me..., can you help me out.... I pay you back if... " accompanied by a lot of noise making me wonder why everyone is laughing and if the caller is going out on my exlenses again.

I never lost an important phone number. I am old fashioned and always learned them by head. I was quiet good at it and always wrote (still do so) phone numbers and data down in an agenda. And before you ask I save the old agendas. My phone is not my agenda and I rather have the numbers written down (I have the one if the phonebox at the busstation as well so if my son uses it I know it's him.
Many numbers can be found back but way more can't since mist cell phone users are not registered so you can't find them in the (online) phonebook or via a site. With some luck perhaps if you search for their name and they left their number with it.
If I would lose an important number? I guess someone gave it and can give it again, I try to remember where I put it or will say: it's not important otherwise I would have it.
P. S. I also like to add that at the end of the year I check people and numbers. Those who added nothing to my life I delete.

Saya tidak pernah menelepon 911 (bersama kami 112) jika saya sakit, saya tetap di tempat tidur atau merangkak ke tempat kerja saya, kaki terbuka tidak masalah. Suatu kali seorang pria berkata: Jika saya sakit, saya tinggal di rumah di tempat tidur dan istri saya yang merawat saya. Dia membawakan saya teh, biskuit, mengambilkan obat dan sebagainya.
Saya mengatakan kepadanya: Saya juga ingin memiliki istri seperti itu, tetapi saya adalah seorang wanita dan ibu, jadi saya tidak bisa tinggal di tempat tidur jika hidung saya tersumbat, saya kesakitan, saya bekerja sampai saya mati karena orang lain sakit dan penyakitnya selalu 'lebih buruk' daripada saya. Saya tidak bisa tersedia lebih dari 8 jam dan 8 jam saja sudah cukup sulit. Bayangkan 8 orang yang membutuhkan dan membutuhkan Anda pada saat yang bersamaan.
Semua penjelasan anda logis, walaupun tetap aneh bagi saya bahwa hanya 8 orang. Tapi baiklah itu bukan masalah besar, toh anda sangat menikmati semua alat komunikasi selain telpon, walaupun bagi kami telpon lebih efektif dan familiar.
Terakhir kali hal ini efektif bagi saya adalah sekitar 40 tahun yang lalu, ketika keluarga saya masih hidup atau masih ada. Pada hari Jumat, saya menelepon masing-masing dari mereka untuk mengetahui kabar mereka dan mendengarkan mereka. Sampai pada suatu titik, saya menyadari bahwa tidak ada seorang pun yang menelepon saya. Jadi saya melewatkan 1 minggu dan menunggu. Tidak ada yang menelepon. Saya menunggu satu minggu lagi: tidak ada yang menelepon.
Saya sakit parah di rumah dengan bayi yang baru lahir selama beberapa minggu. Tidak ada satu orang pun yang mengetuk pintu atau menelepon.
Ketika saya akhirnya menelepon, jawabannya adalah: Jadi, Anda masih hidup, mengapa Anda tidak menelepon?
Saya bertanya: Mengapa Anda tidak menelepon saya?
Saya menyadari bahwa jika pertemanan, hubungan hanya bergantung pada saya, maka tidak ada gunanya berinvestasi. Hal itu tidak memberikan apa-apa bagi saya. Saya lebih suka berbicara dengan orang asing atau duduk di samping tunawisma di jalan dan berbicara dengannya. Hal ini lebih berharga daripada melakukan panggilan telepon yang mahal ke seluruh negeri dan ke luar negeri untuk mendengar bahwa saya buruk karena Saya tidak menelepon lebih awal.
