The Memoirs of Agent Matthew : Part 2 | 5-Minute Freewrite | Prompt: Insider

This is my 5-minute freewrite, from @mariannewest. I thought this prompt was a case worthy of Agent Matthew once more.

Agent Matthew walked through the door of the Agency. After saving that damsel in distress, he had been alerted about a spy in the Agency itself. He passed by many rooms for different things, like weapons testing, proper attire, combat simulations. But he went for the main room, which had food and couches, basically a lounge.

One of these people is the insider, he thought, but which one? Suddenly, upon seeing the agent, a man pulled out a mobster gun from inside his coat. He fired like crazy, purfurating the walls. All the agents ducked, but Agent Matthew jumped onto the man, pinning him down. The gun flew away, and the insider struggled. Using his small tranq gun, Matthew shot him. But this guy was good. He had taken anti-tranq serum and was still awake. He made for a getaway, but the agent swept his feet out from under him, and the insider skidded into a net, held up by other agents.

Agent Matthew took off his sunglasses and looked at the man in the net. "Another one down, the rest of evil to go." He walked stoically out of the room, coat swishing.
