I love this comment so much, and I will tell you why. Apart from the fact that it resonates with the feelings I had when writing the diary entry, especially in terms of my worries on self development, your comment also uses poetic language and metaphors, just the way that I love.

The use of "arrangement of digits" to represent "funds" or "exam fees" was awesome, then the way the sentence flowed into poetry... "a damper on the burning determination, a little fading of the aspirations"...
