Going Back In Time!
I came across this question recently. I think it is a really nice question that everyone should ask themselves. "If you can go back in time and give yourself one advice. How far would you go back and what that advice would be?".
We feel sometimes that time flies by so quickly.
Let's stop at this sentence for a moment and discuss it.
The brain functions in an amazing way that scientists are still researching and learning how it functions till this date. But, what we know so far is that it recognizes patterns and routines and tries to always go back to them as they are our comfort zones. So, the moment you try to break your routine, you find a great difficulty because, the brain doesn't recognize the new behavior. In addition, our unconscious mind takes actions in events that the brain recognizes. Therefore, it uses less effort of our conscious mind. The more these events repeat, the less likely we are to remember them. Because, they are stored in the back of the memory as similar events happened in the past. Which leads us to feel that time passes by so quickly!
Building up on this, we tend to go to the same places, hangout with the same people and try to repeat things from the past.
But, wait!
We are here to discuss the question in the beginning, which is about giving ourselves an advice to change or be more alert about something that happened in the past.
Yes. If we took a moment to think of that question. We might still be able to make some changes to have a better tomorrow. It is important to recognize how our mind works to familiarize ourselves with the challenges that will come.
Did you come up with an answer to that question yet? If your answer is yes and you have an advice to give your past self. What can you do now to turn things around?
Personally, I believe that we should have moments in life where we stop, re-evaluate and move forward.

We answered this question at least ten times in 2024 as all those contest were still running including the SECs
I find it a nonsense question. What you are today is the result of what you were back then. If you could advice your younger one at all this would mean that you change the future and might not exist or are in a worse situation than you are today.
There must be some wave on Steemit that I only read about all those thoughts and questions with our without a depression. Is it winter or is everyone rapidly aging?
I wonder about your hashtags. What is the advice? Would anyone use them to find this post? There's an old one: #thoughts #foodforthoughts
That's true. As it is commonly said, we are only a sum of our past experiences. If you were to give your past self an advice and to follow it. You'd never know if that change will be for better or worse. I guess that will remain a mystery.
I will go with the latter. We are aging. LOL
About my hashtags, I don't think anyone will use them. Because, I have only researched stuff with hashtags once or twice EVER. I guess, people who do search with hashtags would know what hashtags to put on their posts.
