Newly Minted - 5 Minute Free write
The money that is in our wallets physically and digitally has to be newly minted into existence. Currency has had a lot of forms and adaptations. Starting with bartering goods, physical gold and silver coins which were replaced with other metals, and paper fiat bills.
And now we are transitioning into digital currency. That's where we find common ground on Steemit, where we are interconnected in a web of finance, hobbies, art, and culture.
As I am typing this, I am picturing myself underground in a mining facility knowing that newly minted Steem coins will be the result. So let's get together as a community and get our hands on these newly minted coins.

I kind of wish local currencies were still tied to physical goods, or at least something else instead of this whole "I'm a bank and I decide how much long it will take until your life savings are worth nothing but a burger."
Steemit is common ground indeed but I can't help thinking 'What if we all are without power? How will be be able to live on?'
