Most times we make this casual remarks without even being conscious of it. We just do these things sometimes out of anxiety and we let our emotions get the better of us.

I personally do not take this kind of remark seriously, I just take it as a way of playing a joke or teasing someone. This is because it was said casually and I interpret it as jokingly.

Some folks have taken it seriously and it has affected them negatively, so take note of the remarks and do the needful.
