One of those assigned to pick up the medicines was togo's employer leonhard sepalla. So from nome, sepalla traveled with togo.

It was very cold and very dangerous to travel in those times.

They climbed the mountain, crossed the ice sea, suffered the frost bite as a result of the cold and extreme work.

They traveled three days to reach their assigned destination from nome to shaktoolik on january 31st, 1925.

The distance from nome to shaktoolik is over four hundred kilometers.
When togo and sepalla arrived at shaktoolik, the medicines were immediately turn over them.

So even though they were tired traveling, they immediately going back by nome.

Another 420 kilometers again they will travel my friends.

At that time togo was also wounded, but he still forced to travel because he knew he had to do it.

They traveled the ice sea again, but it became slippery so togo and sepalla had even more difficulty.

In addition to this, the ice is already melting so they need to cross quickly.

It was a part of their journey in which they almost all died.

After they cross the ice sea, they have to climb the mountain again.

These part my friends, they were too much the work and sacrifice, the dog togo and his boss sepalla.

When they arrived at their destination, they immediately passed the medicine to the final one who will deliver it to the town of nome.

And did know who will be the last to deliver the medicines to nome? No one else but balto.

Balto traveled 40 kilometers until it reached nome. Arriving at nome, balto's employer immediately delivered the medicines.

This is where the medicine to fight the epidemic was distributed.
