Nuggets of Gold
A Maxim is a short, easily remembered expression of a basic principle, general truth or rule of conduct. Maxims are universal and testify to the commonality of human existence. Because maxims touch upon universal truths about life, they are looked upon as apparent wisdom, and they win ready assent from the audience. Some people call them nuggets of gold.
Pepper your conversations with axioms and maxims. Your friends will be impressed with your wisdom.
