If You Want to Be a Writer

To become a legend, of course, extraordinary works are needed, just like Peterpan previously became the king of pop and was known by the Indonesian people with his extraordinary songs. And of course he also has extraordinary songwriters.

Now, talking about writers, if not talking about songs, but book writers.

Of course, we will have a lot of writers who can and have proven themselves in the international world. But writers who are currently learning to write, or are just starting to write so that they are known to the wider community are also many. So there are so many big film novels that are best-selling on the market, they come from a story from a novel that was made into a film.

Now, I will provide information or tips on how to make a novel into a film.

Today I will tell you about tips, how to write so that your writing can be made into a film.

The first is your own writing.

Make sure the novel you publish is a novel that is your own writing, authentically your own writing. Not made by your parents, your younger sibling, your cousin, or not made in China. But it must be your own composition.

Second, the story must be universal. The story that is raised must be universal and also not long. It does not go stale quickly, does not expire easily, even though it does not use preservatives.

The next tip, so that the novel can be made into a film, the story must be detailed. For example, when telling a story about someone riding in a car, it must be clear what color the car is, what brand it is, what the scenery on the left and right on the road is, what music is playing. Film people call that filmic. So reading it is like seeing a picture.

So later film people don't bother making a film. That's why the novel is made into a film.

But the point I'm telling you is, everything must be done one hundred percent. Monday ten percent, Tuesday twenty percent, Wednesday ten percent, Thursday another ten percent, Friday twenty percent, and so on... And so on..... so the total is one hundred percent, okay.

And now there are probably a lot of people learning to write novels. Many young writers are trying to prove their work. Now here are the tips. There is a common word that we often hear, what is called passion, the passion that explodes inside us.

So first of all, maybe we ask whether it is true that we love to write. So, a common word, classic, maybe but true. What I mean is really liking writing. I wasn't sure I would live as an author. But there are so many positive things that I can see, it turns out that we can write something that can encourage people. So I feel this is my calling in life to be a writer. And now I focus on writing things that are read by the lower classes, especially marginalized communities like where I used to come from, and seeing the impact of the writing is the biggest attraction, a satisfaction in itself. Not real royalties, not popularity either. But how a piece of writing has an attraction, seems real to other people, that's what I'm focusing on now.

So I try to write as simply as possible, as realistic as possible, with storytelling techniques that are as easy as possible, but have the widest possible impact, and that's not easy.

I always feel that it's not because I'm good at writing, there's something that I think is a blessing that I have to say Alhamdulillah for.
