Mother and Child at the Shore
Mother and Child at the Shore, Acrylic on Paper, 2016
I have received flak out there for posting “crap” because back in the day I used to do a lot of naive art. Often times I actually think the criticism is warranted. If you follow me, you know you’ve seen quite a few “why would anyone post that?” posts.
But this is not one of those. As far as naive art goes, I rather like this one. The figures are decently done. The layout isn’t atrocious. There are little technical errors here or there, but that’s to be expected with naive art. I wasn’t going for a brilliant masterpiece, critics. I was simply painting because I liked to.
And isn’t that what matters?
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
