Hello chess fans, this time you had to wait a while until the three conditions to create a new chess puzzle for you - to have enough time, energy and creativity at the same time - were fulfilled. Real life exacts it's toll, and believe me, designing such a chess problem isn't an easy job:

First of all, an idea, a motive has to be found, which often just doesn't happen when the necessary calmness and relaxation doesn't ensue, and the brain has to chew on other things.

Once an idea is developed, one has to come up with a position where it can be applied and think about the concrete variants leading to checkmate. Then it is necessary to check ...

... a) whether a mate can really be forced against every conceivable defence, and ...
-
... b) whether there are side solutions that might lead to victory just as quickly, which would devalue the problem.
It took some time, but I guess the nut that is now on the table is not easy to crack. Black is supposed to checkmate against the best opponent's defence in 12 moves at the latest! Have fun! :)

Hallo Schachfans, diesmal musstest ihr eine Weile warten, bis ich genug Zeit, Energie und Kreativität angesammelt hatte, um ein neues Schachrätsel für euch zu entwerfen. Das reale Leben hinterlässt seine Spuren, und glaubt mir, so ein Schachproblem zu entwerfen, ist kein einfacher Job:

Zunächst einmal muss eine Idee, ein Motiv gefunden werden, was oft einfach nicht geschieht, wenn sich sich die nötige Ruhe und entspanntheit nicht einstellen wollen, und das Gehirn an anderen Dingen zu kauen hat.

Hat man eine Idee entwickelt, muss man sich eine stellung ausdenken, wo sie zur Geltung kommt, und sich um die konkreten, zum Schachmatt führenden Varianten ausdenken. Dabei gilt es dann ...

... a) zu überprüfen, ob wirklich gegen jede erdenkliche Verteidigung auch tatsächlich ein Matt zu erzwingen ist, und ...

... b) ob es keine Nebenlösungen gibt, die möglicherweise genauso schnell zum Sieg führen, was das Problem entwerten würde.
Es hat zwar etwas gedauert, aber die nun vorliegende Nuss dürfte nicht ganz einfach zu knacken sein. Schwarz soll bei bester gegnerischer Verteidigung in spätestens 12 Zügen schachmatt setzen! Viel Spaß dabei! :)

1.... Tb8, 2. c7 Th8 (Idee 3.c8D Txh2+ nebst 4...Dh5++), 3. Lb7+ Kd3, 4.Lf3 Sxf3, 5. gxf3 Dxf3, 6. Tg2 Df1+, 7. Tg1 e2 ist klar gewonnen, aber ein Matt in 12 wird das wohl nicht werden.
Das ist nicht die beabsichtigte Lösung, aber falls es sich zeigen sollte, dass sie genauso schnell gewinnt wie meine Idee (was ich befürchte!) :-) wirst du, genauso wie @iceblue, ein 100 %-Upvote erhalten. :)
Nach 1. ... Tb8 2. c7 Th8 3. Lb7+ Kd3 ist, wie du schreibst, 4. Lf3 am zähesten (wenn ich mehr Zeit habe, werde ich prüfen müssen, wie schnell genau das zum Matt führt).
Ich hatte einen forcierteren ersten Zug vorgesehen. Kannst du ihn auch finden? (Wenn deine Nebenlösung funktioniert, werde ich versuchen, das Problem so zu modifizieren, dass nur noch eine Lösung möglich ist).
... Dh3, 2. gxh3 Sf3 (droht 3...Th2 Matt), 3. Tg2 Tb1, 4. Te2 Sxe1, 5. Txe1 Txe1, 6. Kg2 Tc1, 7.c5 Tc2+, 8. Kg1 Kf3, 9. Lf1 Tc1, 10. h4 e2, 11. h3 exf1D+, 12. Kh2 Dg1/Dh1/Df2/De2/Dg2/Tc2 Matt.
Ja, 1. ... Dh3! ist der gesuchte Zug.
Es gibt dann viele verschiedene Verteidigungsversuche, und - wie ich finde - teilweise sehr schöne Varianten, auf die ich noch eingehen werde, sobald ich Zeit finde, eine 'Musterlösung' zu posten.
Auf jeden Fall erhalten beide User, die einen sinnvollen Ansatz zeigten, das Problem zu lösen, jetzt schon mal ihr Upvote. :)
My solution would be:
gxh4 5.c8Q Rh5 (threatens 6...gxh3 checkmate) 6.Be4+ (not 6.Rf1 as gxh3+ 7.Kg1 Rh1+! 8.Kxh1 Qh5+ 9.Kg1 Qh2++ follows) Ke2! (not Kxe4 as the queen on c8 will harrass the white king with checks: Qb7, Qb1 and so on...) and White has no good defensive moves any more: e.g. 7.Bf3 Kxf3 8.gxf3 Qh3 mate or 7.Bxf5 hxg3 checkmate or 7.Bd3 Kxd3 8.Qxf5 Nxf5 9.Rf1 hxg3 10.Kg1 Rh1 11.Kxh1 Qh4 12.Kg1 Qh2 checkmate!
That's not the intended solution but in case it turns out it wins just as fast (which I fear!) :-) , you will get the 100 % upvote as well as @udow.
After 1. ... Rb8 2. c7 Rh8 3. Bb7+ Kd3 4. Bf3 could be a tougher defence (I will have to examine that when I have more time).
I have a more forced first move in mind. Can you find it? (If your side solution works I will try to modify the problem in a way that only one solution is possible).
I think from d4f3 with the threat of g4h5 a checkmate will come sooner
That's not the fastest way to win, but indeed, 1. ... Nf3 will save the victory, too.
Ich schau mir das jetzt schon 30 Minuten an und muss hier abbrechen da der Hahn um 3:00 schreit und ich sicher immer noch hier sitzen würde und wäre keinen Schritt weiter

Ja, diese Aufgabe ist nicht einfach. Daran beißt sich sogar das ein oder andere Schachprogramm die Zähne aus. Ich werde in ein paar Tagen die Lösung posten.
