Today is my first time posting on steemit. This is the work I did during the end of lockdown in Nepal. I have used the hatching technique. I have done this work on a Indian cartridge paper. It took me 4 days to complete it. I really enjoyed doing this work. I hope you enjoy my work too.
The sculpture of UGRACHANDI is located at Bhaktapur Durbar Square near the main gate at the west end, one can admire a pair of multiple-armed statues of the god Ugrabhairab and his counterpart Ugrachandi, the manifestation of Shiva’s consort Parvati. The statues date back to 1701 A.D. and it is said that the sculptor had his hands cut off afterward to prevent him from duplicating his masterpieces. Ugrachandi has eighteen arms holding weapons, and she is in the position of killing a (Buffalo) demon.
