WEEKLY COOKING CONTEST #4 // COOKING EXOTIC DISH "CHICKEN ADOBONG ISAW" @sweetnaomi05
Hello everyone. Good day to all amazing people here in this platform. Hope all of you guys are in good health and filled with happiness in your hearts. It's me @sweetnaomi05 and for today's blog, allow me to share my "Adobong Chicken Isaw" recipe . This is my entry in "Weekly cooking contest #4" initiated by @sabbirrr
"Adobong Chicken Isaw" is a Filipino "exotic dish" . The main ingredients of this dish is chicken small intestines. Sounds like it's a disgusting dish, but as the saying goes "Don't judge the book by it's cover" because many people likes to eat this kind of dish most especially if paired with alcohol or any kind of beverages. I can also say this also serves as the best "pulutan" in our country. There are also many restaurants here serves this kind of food with a different way of cooking like "Fried Isaw, Isaw barbecue, or Spicy Isaw" but for today's blog I choosed to cook chicken small intestines in a adobo way. Because me and my son really loves to eat Adobo recipe and it's one of our favourite.
So let's begin...
HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 kilo chicken isaw (chicken intestine)
- 1 medium size onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 green chili pepper
- 1 medium size ginger
- 2 calamansi lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon magic sarap
- 4 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 tablespoon cooking oil
HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO COOK
- Cut the Chicken small intestine using knife and wash well with water.
- Prepare and slice the onion, garlic, ginger, green chilli pepper and the calamansi lemon.
- Get a cooking pot. Put in a medium heat and put 4 tablespoon cooking oil.
- When the cooking oil is already hot. Put the chicken small intestine in the cooking pot. Cover the cooking pot and make the chicken small intestine boil.
- Add 4 tablespoon of vinegar in the chicken small intestine and let it simmer.
- When the intestines became tender and already no water liquid left but only cooking oil left, add the sliced garlic, sliced onion and sliced ginger. Then mix together and cover the coking pot for 2 minutes.
- When the intestines turn into golden brown, add 1/4 cup of soy sauce.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon magic sarap to make the dish more tastier. Then mix.
- Add the sliced green chilli pepper to make the dish a little bit spicy.
- And lastly, Squeeze the calamansi lemon and put it's juice to the dish.
So here it is fellow steemian my "Adobong Chicken Isaw" dish is ready to serve. And it is best to eat with your love ones, families and friends.
