No moment is truly wasted, but today sure came close!
Today, for the first time in a very long time (or maybe not so long) I wasted my day playing an addictive cell phone game! I don’t want to judge myself too hard but I’m feeling a bit guilty about it. I could have easily used the day to get some things done or to meditate or to spend time with friends.
At least I managed to send some mails to potential students and review the top two frets of the guitar. I will try to do a bit more review before the day is over so.
Oh, I also went to a music cafe for lunch and talked about possibly playing a show there in the future, and I went to the cheapest local restaurant in town where the old man asks which country I am from every single time....and I go there once a week. The tempura is more than worth 450 yen and I don’t need him to remember me.
Ok so it wasn’t much of a wasted day at all, I just wasted half of it, I just feel a bit sad that it was wasted on such a mindless game, if I’m going to put everything on the sideline for a game, it might as well be a good RPG.
Ideally most of my recharge time will go to streaming instead of games or YouTube.
Now I’m heading to a friendly hostel to drink tea and possibly jam for an hour. Ok so if I get some good jamming in and some good stretching before I go to sleep, it will have been a good day after all.

Having done that I don't know how many times, I've come to the conclusion that even though we may find the stuff we love to do relaxing, it's still bloody hard work and there are times when our brain has had more than enough and refuses to work and forces us to do something stupid and mindless to actually relax instead, and if we try to force the issue it simply refuses to work no matter what XD
Or at least that's been the case with me x_x

I like to thing that lethargy comes from congealed stuff inside and that we just need to clear it out to get back to feeling pumped! Yeah we jammed! I got home way too late and felt tired at work but too the best nap ever and repeated again
Procrastination and wasting time doing meaningless things like cell phone games are your brain's way of taking a rest. Embrace and accept that you brain has limits, and needs to recharge.
