How can you save your account from hackers?

Friends, if you want to save your Steemit account from being hacked, then you should never click on any suspected link, nor share the master password with anyone (although someone claims to be a member of steemit team), because these people will change your account keys by stealing your account and will steal your all tokens.

What is the right way to keep your keys?

Often, when people create an account, they keep it somewhere in their computer or share it on WhatsApp or save it in email, but the best way is to protect your keys to save them in personal drive, USB or card. But the safest way is to print your keys on paper and save them in personal documents file.

What are the uses of all keys of your account?

Let us now make a detailed statement of the five keys and try to understand them.

Master Password Key:

This password is of paramount importance because it can change all other 4 keys so you must be careful in using it.

The Owner Key:

It is also important key as it can be used to change any other key (but not master password) of your account. So you must be careful in using it. You should not keep it online.

The Posting Key:

It is called an functional key because it is often used to log in an account for posting, editing, up voting, down voting, commenting, resteeming, following, un-following and muting. Without it you can not do all these functions.

The Active Key:

Active key is used for transferring funds, power up, power down, conversion of SBD to steem, vote to witnesses and updating profile.

The Memo Key:

This key is used to encrypt or decrypt memo. It is used while transferring funds and it can be seen by public.

Be Careful!

If you lost your keys then you lost your account so it is necessary to keep all keys at safe place because once you lost your account, you can not recover it again.
