RE: Coffee Time, A #comment to @wakeupkitty.pal's Post

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE13 days ago

Civet coffee is extremely expensive with us if it can be bought at all. A lot of coffee has always be made in different ways. I remember during my childhood it was cooked on the stove I liked the taste but today they say it's unhealthy to drink it. We later had with a filter on a pot or cup and my grandmother told the old left coffee was given to the dog. I doubt he had heart trouble.

Does coffee keep one awake? Not in my family wel all fall asleep same if it comes to tea. I doubt coffee with milk will cause stomach issues because here they say if it's better to add some (coffee) milk. Can be there are already stomach issues and something in the coffee triggers it.
Coffee widens the veins so if you have low blood pressure it will do good and some say it's also good for the heart (not if you drink litters per day).

Here coffee time is indeed also a break, moment to chat or relax or at least promoted as such. I do see a change since 20 years. More people drink tea at work than coffee. I remember as I grew up the cups were small today everyone has mugs of nearly 300 ml, they drink more and some non stop especially if the coffee at work is for free.

I don't like the smell. If I don't smell it and it's just a little bit with a lot of milk I can drink it. If I tell myself it keeps me awake it might work for ten seconds.

Great post you wrote and you showed you read the others.
Coffee time is world wide. The beans are promoted very well.

Sort:

In my grandfthaer garden plant coffee too. We love the smell of coffee flower. We are so lucky when see civet coffee under the tree. We take it and then we make it a good coffee. And then we can enjoy the coffee together.

Enjoying coffee is a good time because it is full of relaxation and relaxation. There are jokes, laughter and cheerful stories. When drinking coffee alone, it may be used more to inspire or relax. While sipping coffee or sometimes adding a cigarette can increase motivation or generate ideas. When drinking coffee with friends, of course there are many things that can be used as stories. Both light stories, stories about football, even political stories in our country or even stories about the war in the Middle East or Europe which is now entering winter in the middle of Christmas while soldiers continue to fight each other and leaders can be while drinking coffee together. With friends, you can drink coffee and share joy and stories.
When drinking coffee, serious arguments will rarely occur. All the time drinking coffee will feel relaxed so that serious conversations will be carried out casually. Even while drinking coffee we can write a story. In between sipping coffee we can open our cellphones and update our status on WA, FB or other networks.
Or like now we can reply to each other's comments on Steemit as one way to prove that we are connected and strengthening each other. Comments to friends are a form of our concern for other posts. We don't just feel the greatest so that we arrogantly just post and hope that there is a whale curator who gives an upvote. I'm sure there are still many of us who try to maintain the spirit of writing as a form of communication. Moreover, now we know that there are several SC teams who also monitor comments so that sometimes many friends also get quite a lot of upvotes. It's just that when we actively comment, sometimes we are so busy that we don't even have an independent post. Therefore, it might be a good idea for us to also make posts and continue to be actively involved in conversations with friends.

It is true that unlike what the Steemit Team wants most SCs do reward comments actively and the proof will be shown. The question is: Why not since without good comments there is no action and no information will be shared? A lot of nonsense is spread which shows if you visit communities and scroll through the posts. Have a look at the posts and the comment count. Most of those are empty or an auto-reply from a witness or some bot. This means it does take time to find the commenters although it doesn't take that much if you are a commenter yourself. Look at me. I comment and you comment so that makes two and if I look further I see who replies you, me and so on. It's really not that difficult. Perhaps the wrong people curate, they lack experience and the word "freedom" is enough reason to ignore the few rules set like: rewarding comments and looking for "hidden gems"?

If it comes to longer comments.. you can do as I do and if you answer or comment and it will get longer simply copy that text and make a post out of it. Next you leave in the comment section the link to your comment.
I did that a few times and will do it again especially if I run out of time. I agree it's hard to post if you start commenting. It's better to let that be and only reply/comment after you post (unless you can use a comment).

I wonder if coffee, a break is still enjoyed if we keep multitasking doing things in between, continue to work and keep typing on our phone. I know that if I only drink my tea without doing something else I relax and smell and taste the tea more. If I work it's a swallow in between and frequently my tea is cold which I actually hate.

Noise 8n the post can be indication that it get many attention. But I must admin thatake a long koment such as a post make me try to tell with arrange many sentences.
When you see a post getting attention from lots of comments, it means there is a buzz that attracts attention. The frequency of conversations and mutual comments shows that readers are making good contact and communication. The opinions of the commentators, both pros and cons, are valid. However, the positive side is that there is two-way communication so that it really feels like a big family. yes, the big Steemit family. Things like this should be paid attention to by the curators. and I'm sure SC's gave the mandate to carry it out with full responsibility. Even though you can also use the pretext of freedom, you still have to show good accountability. If this is done well then I am sure it will have a positive impact on all parties

It is hard to find commenters. The entire month we searched. Indeed it's hard for me because I cannot upvote myself and I comment with more than one account. Also as a moderator and SC07. We noticed that the other SCs rarely upvote comments although this is a rule set by the Steemit Team.

The way to attract readers and more commenters? It works everywhere the same. you need a topic people like to talk about, one they are not scared to give their opinion (many turn out to be afraid) or you need to make people angry. Angry people will respond. Next to that we have the keyboard heroes who for sure will show up if they can complain, scold or make their voice visible.

Every month there are different curators and the new teams will be divided among the steemcurator accounts available so these people are rarely the same. Next to that there are new cutors who have no idea where to look and if they rarely read or comment... I believe you have your answer.

Looking for good comments is of course the same as looking for a classy post. a responsibility that requires hard work. while there are not many steemians who comment well. Indeed, discussing topics that trigger visa debates can be a way for many people to comment. However, on the other hand there can also be fear. I still remember when there was a debate I wanted to express my opinion. I expressed my opinion impartially but then I was downvoted, and the impact was that every comment I gave would end in a downvote. Those were the times when downvotes became a trend. that made me choose not to do anything. however, now it is much different. Our job as fellow steemian is just to stimulate and share comments so that the atmosphere can be much more lively.
And we know that some curators see and also find the comment to be cirated.
For unread curators or new curator must be active to find it so they can do their task well.

If only I can drink much coffee than I will, it is because coffee will give us an achy stomach if we happen to drink more than five cups of it everyday and that is a given fact. Well I know because I am saying it out of experience when I was addicted to it during my school years where ii needed to wake-up my brain when I study. I do not have much money to buy any drinks whatsoever so I would end-up drinking coffee and sometimes I would drink more than usual and so it will cause stomach pain and I learned my lesson.

Drinking too much coffee would also hinders the body's (guts) ability to absorb iron from the food that we eat especially if we eat meat and leafy vegetables. So the idea is to either not drink too much coffee or time your consumption by avoiding drinking it if we will eat meats and vegetables. It will also be better to take some vitamin C with our meals because it helps our guts to absorb iron from our foods.

I had a regret the other day that I had some brewed coffee later in the day together with my final meal last Thursday because it affected my sleep and that is something that I miscalculated that day. I am only drinking coffee during the morning so that I can get some sleep if I wanted later in the day especially during the night because I am a light sleeper and would wake-up many times during the night, so if there will be caffeine in my system, then my sleep hours will get ruined.

Anyway, what I am drinking is a Liberica coffee, dark roasted, and fine-ground. I cannot have the freshly roasted and freshly ground because those are not sold here in my town, I am only buying it online. Half a kilo of it takes me months to consume because my mother can't drink brewed coffee nor any coffee for that mater because of her hyperacidity while my father has no acquired taste for it, he only drinks instant and the 3-in-1 coffee in small sachet packs. Liberica coffee is still pleasant to drink even if it is old because it has an intense aroma and tastes good. I had tasted other types of coffe but a dark-roasted Liberica coffee we call "Kapeng Batangas" that particular coffee named after the province that is well known in cultivating, processing and selling it was named after and is also known as "Kapeng Barako", the term Barako means "Stud" or "Tough man/men". I do think that you should try it. 😊☕♥

I am surprised you say that you had no money for drinks and that's the reason you drank coffee. With us coffee isn't the cheapest drink but "tea" is and even the cheapest soda is more afforI dable than coffee. I don't believe that many different types of coffee are sold. Perhaps online? I do remember a tea shop in the city of Arnhem. No idea if it still exist.

Do you drink your coffee black that it hurts your stomach? I only hear it from black coffee drinkers they have health issues not from those drinking it with milk but can be the black coffee drinkers consume it more as well.
There was a time I only drank black coffee but I don't longer like the smell which is stronger with coffee beans as it is with instant coffee or those sachets. I can understand your father likes the taste of that more. The coffee is different but it's also "sweeter" even though it's not noticed it is.

They grow the LIberica coffee plant in your country or is it all import from Africa or Indonesia? Again I learned something from you. Thank you for the information.

I wish you a nice cup of coffee in the morning but above all a good night without disturbance.

I

I learned to drink coffee, instant coffee that is because of my mother ad that is readily available in the house so I would have it especially when my caffeine level in m body becomes low after I got addicted to it during my younger years.

Now my mother had developed hyperacidity which is why she no longer drinks coffee while for myself I just have it one a day as a brewed coffee in the morning but I sometimes have it as a very pale coffee as instant coffee as my drink of choice when I have my second and final meal of the day because it helps me to eat. I do not like it to affect my sleep so I will just request my mother to fix me a very pale instant coffee for that matter.

The enjoyment of brewed coffee comes with the addiction to it, so if you are addicted to even with instant coffee, it is a very delightful drink to have even with teas if you had gone accustomed in drinking it. However if you would have both more than four times a day it will affect your stomach and develop hyperacidity plus as I had mentioned, will also affect iron absorption on the food we eat. But it has benefits if we consume coffee sparingly. Miss @wakeupkitty

It can help with the painkillers as well. We have painkillers with coffeine not that they help me so I no longer take them. Coffee makes me sleepy runds in the family and sleeping pills keep me awake.

I like ginger tea ir the one we call "starmint" but it also depends on the season and if it's available. Shops don't feel eager to buy new as long as they have old stuff. Many empty shelves the full shops are in the cities those living on the countryside are good for what is left.
