Club100 - A visit to Dar-ul-Sukun : a home for physically and mentally challenged people
I visited the Dar-ul-Sukun last day and I felt so blessed after visiting that how much we are ungrateful to Allah. Before moving forward I must tell you that Dar-ul-Sukun is a home for physically and mentally challenged people including children, adult and old.
I went there early in the morning with my friends because in my university it's a must to do 16 hour community service. We collected the funds and then did some shopping for the children. Now we have to distribute among the children and do some healthy activities at Dar-ul-Sukun.
At 9:30 sharp we arrived there and all of a sudden a girl came to us and hold my hands and start dragging me into the building. At first I was a little afraid because I never dealt with mentally challenged children but I got used to it. She tightly held my hands and start running, I tried to be gentle to her that's why I started going with her. She was a hyperactive child and I was out of breath that moment.
The teacher took us to different class rooms and demonstrate all the things. We went to the art room where children learn gripping and learn how to paint and colour. Then she took us to the music class where a girl was singing and I was amazed after seeing how much beautifully she was singing despite of having all the difficulties, we must learn from such people.
We all were not so emotional at that moment because the children were so unexpected like a girl hit me because of no reasons and we can't say anything she was innocent and didn't have any idea what she was doing. I talked to the physiotherapist, she told us about how parents left their children and never returned. It's so devastating that how parents can't accept such children. She said, many children were found outside the gate. She told us about the down syndrome and CP Cerebral palsy. Many children were unable to move because of the CP. They were fully dependant on others. That made me feel that we are so ungrateful to God. We are 100% normal physically and mentally. We must thank OUR ALLAH 24/7 but what we do is just making complains regarding our fate.
There was a gym too. These children are hyperactive normally and to consume their energy in a healthy way they gave them machines for exercise like treadmill.
After meeting with all the children, we distributed the snacks and drinks to them. Because of much contributions, we handed the remaining snacks to the teachers. Then we cut the cake and we feed them with our hands.
Things I learned through this visit
There are many people out there who need our help. We should n't say we don't have this and that. We must be thankful and remember that we are blessed with all the best things and most importantly we are blessed with the health. We must keep a good care of ourselves. We must accept the reality, like the parents left their children, isn't it so bad that how can any parent leave their children like this. Last but not the least, humanity is above all the religions because the Dar-ul-Sukun is a Christian shelter but they never see whether the person is Muslim, Hindu or Christian but they see everyone as a human and give shelter to everyone who need. It was great trip, everyone in Karachi should visit such places.
I didn't capture much pictures but here are some blurred and imperfect pictures and a video.
Thank you for visiting
May Allah (God) bless you

Thank you so much 🥰
Determination of Club Status refers to the https://steemworld.org/transfer-search Web-based Application
I think it's better to divide the rewards for the contest in the form of steem power so that it doesn't affect the club status. This is just a recommendation. Have a nice day my friend
