The Adventure Contest - xxx(Academic Field Trip)
Hello everyone here. Greetings from this end to you all. Compliment of the season and i want to trust we are all doing great in this very season of celebration. I am v-brainer and today, i want to engage in this wonderful contest with the title "The Adventure" that is been organised by one of the member and admin of this community @irawandedy. Please ride with me as i talk about my own adventure.
One of the most amazing adventure i went on this year was my departmental field trip i went on early this year. Field trip is more like an excursion or sometimes called educational trip. It is been done or carried out by travelling out the school environment or institution and going to either one or different location for the educational purpose. Field trip is very good for students especially those who lack practical knowledge about a particular technology.
The planned destinations for the picnic was supposed to be at Kano and Plateau state Nigeria but we ended up going to only kano because as at that time there was serious crisis in Plateau state so we decided not to visit there and so we visited only Kano State. The journey lasted for about four hours and thirty minutes
It was kind of stressful but i really did enjoy it anyway because everyone im the vehicle were my course mates, unlike when i travel alone with strangers. We left Gashua, Yobe State by 8:15am and we arived Kano State at around 12:35. We lounged hotels to rest so that we could go out to the exact location the next day.
The next day came and as early as possible we moved to visit various institutions in Kano state. We visited Bayero University Kano(B.U.K)Kano State, Nigeria where we were allowed to check out some of their laboratory and how they operate, their greenhouses and have it is been maitained, we also visited some of their University farms to see how work are been carried out there.
After we left (B.U.K) we also visited Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) and Nigerian Stored Product Research Institute (NASPRI) the same day where we were shown different kind of Agricultural machines and implements, how they are operated, and how efficient it is compared to human labour. We came back to our hotel rooms by evening time after learning so much from the various places we visited.
We learnt alot from the fiel trip and had good conversations with the workers and staffs of the various institution we visited, we even took pictures together to keep good memories. We travelled back to school the next day because we had already completed our mission and purpose of the field trip. We left Kano state by 6:00am and arrived Yobe state by 10:27am. Everyone was happy and we all left to our various hostels.
My education trip was one of the most amazing adventure i have had this year, and i wish i could such kind of trip soon. Adventure is good because we learn alot from the unusual and undeen so I'll like to invite my steemian friends @samuelebuka @solexybaba and @gidsbrown to tell us about their own adventures.
