Since technological devices have been positioning themselves more strongly in our society, it was normalized to see a child with a cell phone and in the midst of this boom, one of the most frequent questions that people usually ask is, "Will it be right or, is it wrong?".

Now, the doubt or failing that, the thought of wanting to give a mobile device to children is something everyday because, the technological era we are living generates that children feel more savvy to use them since, all these devices are part of social life. Something that cannot be hidden is that children have a wide capacity to assimilate learning, they are always exploring their curiosities and, they find in electronic devices that infinite world where they can satisfy all the intrigue and thirst to learn.

According to the statistics that specialists have been providing, since 2010, technology has been more present in the needs and interests of children therefore, when asking for a gift, the first thing they usually request is a cell phone and as long as it is high-end, for them it is better. Because of this, there is no doubt about how complex this decision making can be for some parents and, to clear the thought of whether it is a wise choice, I will share some reasons that indicate how wrong it is to leave a cell phone to a child without adult supervision and in unlimited time.

Neuronal development is affected

Specialists in the area of neurology have always recommended that stimulating the brain of children is positive for their cognitive development. Moreover, those who excel in child development emphasize brain stimulation of the child even from the moment he is in the womb because, in this way, intellectual development is achieved 100%. However, this adequate stimulation is not generated by cell phones because, they stimulate artificially and, this alternative is not healthy since, the technological device performs a very constant overstimulation process and does not give the brain time for it to process the information progressively as well as, the vibrational waves it receives are very changeable.

It should be noted that, the overstimulation that emanates a cell phone on children, can be assimilated by them in a pleasant way, however, this is far from having similarity with a learning stimulation that a child can receive when he is learning with something he has in his real context. Because of this, overstimulation will only generate them wanting to live in an artificial world and will reject all the experience that emanates from real life. It is necessary to mention that, this is the reason why, specialists have shown that giving a cell phone to children under 12 years of age, is counterproductive for their development and is the first cause that is generating the suffering of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Giving children free access to use a cell phone indicates that they are being allowed to immerse themselves in a world where parents do not have access to control what they will see or do since the Internet is a universe in which there is no filter. To understand it better, just as it is impossible to leave a minor alone in a Shopping Center without any way of knowing who they are going to relate to, why if you leave a mobile device without any control? A curious peculiarity at this point is that, some parents say that children can make controlled use of their cell phone because, just by telling them that it is dangerous, it is enough. However, this idea lacks reality for this reason, we must not affirm something that will not be fulfilled.

When children use a cell phone in an unlimited way, they are automatically exposed to all kinds of stimuli and at the same time, to situations that cannot be controlled. In this same order, when leaving a cell phone to a child, he is being encouraged to develop his social relationships in the virtual context, leaving aside the interaction in real time. It should be noted that, this scenario the only thing that generates is that the child is difficult to develop social skills when sharing with people that if they make real life in their environment therefore, when they reach adulthood, they will have many obstacles in the labor and social field.

When children use a cell phone from an early age, one of the most important skills that the human being has is affected being this: Concentration and, the cause of this is because, a mobile device is designed to generate stimulation in jumps and, for concentration to develop, It is essential that the stimuli are synchronized and without omitting any. Keep in mind that, although children have the ability to concentrate when they are in front of a screen, this concentration is not good because it is an artificial stimulus that is only guided by uneven changes and there is nothing ephemeral.

If for some reason the child already has time exposing himself to artificial stimulation, before he reaches the period of adolescence the excessive use of this device can be stopped since, thanks to the fact that the brain is flexible, there is a possibility that when he reaches young age he can reconstruct all the stimuli that were affected and, recover a percentage of the concentration. It should be mentioned that, when children have access to a mobile device, they will hardly learn to overcome boredom on their own initiative because, they will always want to solve the boring state with the easiest and most virtual alternative.

To conclude, the use of the cell phone implies being aware and responsible for it, a child is not entitled to apply these circumstances and, in case of giving access to minors to use it, this should always be supervised and limited because, the minimum carelessness can generate problems of all kinds of kinds.
