A purposely visit to a dear relative!!!

My little cousin was so full of energy and positive vibes. He is just 2 months old and he is so cute, I can't help staring again and again.

2 months ago,I had a phone call. My aunt just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I was so busy at the time so I couldn't pay a visit. I was so happy, I kept making plans of when I'll be free to visit her and the baby. I kept arranging my schedule and finally it was time to pay them a visit.

I thought of what to prepare as a meal for my aunt because I know the baby is undergoing exclusive breastfeeding and it'd just be for the mother.

I immediately came up with a plan. I made a combination of fried potatoes and corn flour mix.

Trust me this is very nutritious and everyone would want to taste it again and again. I made the corn flour myself from scratch. For those who'd be interested to know, it's dry corn grinded into a very fine powder. It can be prepared the same way you'd prepare wheat or oat. It tastes really nice with milk and sugar added. Everyone can try this.

After getting the meal ready, I was so happy I got exactly what I wanted for a meal to take to my aunt. I immediately got my flask ready, I turned the corn mix meal into it. I packed my fried potatoes and arranged them in a bag so that I could carry them comfortably.

It was time to leave, I got ready and to leave. But I had to tidy up and perform some basic chores at home.

In less than no time I was out and happy to go visit my people. I boarded a cap that took some less than 30 minutes from my destination to reach my aunt's place.

Guess who was so happy to see me!!! I could tell from the laughter, screams and jubilation. I was so happy to see my lovelies after such a long long time.

My aunt and the kids gave me a warm hug with cute smiles on their faces. The oldest son who is about 2 years old was just all around me. He was giving me a series of gists, some of which I could not even understand and I just had to nod in affirmation.

I also got my 2-month- old cousin diapers and wipes. The mom was very happy. I got the diaper at #6000 equivalent to 24 steem and I got the wipes at #2000 equivalent to 8 steem.

The diapers had 54 pieces in a bag and wipes contained 120 pieces. I'm sure these items would serve them especially as prices of goods are going up and up in the country. They really appreciated the gifts I gave them.

My aunt had a special coconut fruit cut for me by her husband. This coconut has a very nutritious and sugary water inside. It's the water I enjoyed the most in this coconut. It's been a while since I had something like this. The coconut water tasted very nice and I loved it very much. You won't believe I had upto 4 of the fruit.

I couldn't resist the urge to keep carrying the little baby again and again. He cries when he is hungry and the mother will breastfeed him. He sleeps at intervals. He has a cute smile. The boy is a blessing to his parents.

My aunt and I had a long talk together. We talked about the pregnancy journey, being a mother and wife at the same time, her highs and low moments. We laughed over jokes and the entertaining moments her oldest son would have us enjoy.

We ate lunch together. We ate rice jellf and beef. Her husband prepared it for her (isn't that lovely?).
We ate together to satisfaction. The visit was indeed fun and everything there was worth all the time and resources.

I really loved this family, and it was time to say goodbye. It was tough to say bye bye, the kids wouldn't let me but I had to. We hugged and bidded each other farewell.

I promised them I'd visit them again. Even while I was on transit, they'd be calling to find out if I had reached home safely.
